👀 Have you seen this “Gear Up, Ride Safe” tagline on our Expressway Monitoring Advisory System (#EMAS) signboards?
As our show of support for Singapore Ride Safe 2021 campaign, these are visual cues on our roads to remind motorcyclists to don protective gear.
Apart from wearing an approved helmet, you can further protect yourself by gearing up in a riding jacket, gloves, and boots before heading out on your motorcycle. 🏍 #SafetyFirst

#PSA 📣 As we move into the Transition Phase of our safe reopening, we will continue our support for taxi and private hire car drivers by setting aside an additional $16 million for the COVID-19 Driver Relief Fund (#CDRF). This translates to additional subsidies for our drivers over the next two months.
Drivers who do not qualify for CDRF, including taxi relief drivers, may apply for the Ministry of Social and Family Development’s COVID-19 Recovery Grant (CRG) if they meet its eligibility criteria.

#PSA 📣 The passenger limit for taxis and private hire cars will be increased from 2 currently to 5 from Nov 22, subject to vehicle’s licensed carrying capacity. 🚕🚗
Paid carpooling services that are matched through licensed ride-hail platforms, such as GrabHitch and RydePool, will also resume.

Did you notice changes to the bus routes 🚌 near you and wonder why those routes were amended? 🤔 #PSA They’re all part and parcel of our wider urban transport planning process!
As new rail lines (like #DTL and the recent #TEL) open 🚆 and estates grow 🏡, we have to adjust our bus services to reduce duplication of routes. This ensures prudent use of taxpayer’s monies, while benefiting as many commuters as possible.
