$188 Million Sectoral Support Scheme for Taxi and Private Hire Car Drivers from Jan 2021 🚕🚗

Point-to-Point drivers will soon receive more support from a new scheme - the COVID Driver Relief Fund (#CDRF) - to help supplement their incomes as tourism activities remain muted and many people are still working from home.
#PSA 📢 To support our taxi and private hire car drivers through these challenging times, we will extend the current COVID-19 Driver Relief Fund (#CDRF) for another three months. 🚕🚗

Check out our infographic for more details.

#PSA 📢 With the extension of Stabilisation Phase, we will top up the COVID-19 Driver Relief Fund (#CDRF) with an additional $16 million to continue supporting taxi and private hire car drivers. 🚕🚗

This CDRF extension is expected to benefit about 50,000 drivers. In addition to the Government’s assistance, taxi operators have also pledged to continue offering rental waivers for drivers.

#PSA 📣 As we move into the Transition Phase of our safe reopening, we will continue our support for taxi and private hire car drivers by setting aside an additional $16 million for the COVID-19 Driver Relief Fund (#CDRF). This translates to additional subsidies for our drivers over the next two months.

Drivers who do not qualify for CDRF, including taxi relief drivers, may apply for the Ministry of Social and Family Development’s COVID-19 Recovery Grant (CRG) if they meet its eligibility criteria.
