How do we foster a more caring commuting culture? 🤔 Well, a little appreciation, education, and empathy sure go a long way!
These are some insights from the "Our Caring Commuting Journey" report which was developed with insights from more than 2,000 commuters. Their feedback included areas for improvement to build a more inclusive and caring commuting culture. 🚌❤️🚆
For a start, we can practise these four caring behaviours during our daily commute:
⏰ Give Time: Be patient and give way to commuters such as those using mobility aids
🤗 Give Care: Look out for commuters who may need help
👋 Give a Hand: Readily offer help to commuters who may need it
🙏 Give Thanks: Thank commuters who have offered help
The report was presented to Minister for Transport S Iswaran at the launch of the inaugural Caring Commuter Week 2021 earlier today, with President Halimah Yacob as the Guest-of-Honour.
