#HappeningNow Travelling to/from Bugis MRT station on the 🔵 #DTL or 🟢 #EWL today?

You may be asked to go through a security screening as part of Exercise Station Guard. This exercise is conducted regularly to validate our security measures at public transport nodes and help familiarise commuters on how they should respond if there’s an emergency on our public transport network.

Do factor in additional travel time for the screening and avoid bringing bulky items.

#ThankYou for playing your part to ensure our public transport system continues to be safe and secure for all commuters like you and I. 😊
To all our superheroes whom we call Dad (or papa!) 👨🏻‍🍼, here’s wishing you a #HappyFathersDay! ❤️

Check out some of the jokes that we’ve come across – they are truly at the Dad-level kind of hilarity! 😂🚦🛣️
#BuildingBetterTogether As part of our #ForwardSG conversations, 🇸🇬🤝 more of you have shared with us your views on how the future of our land transport ecosystem can be more inclusive and connected than what it is today. 👨‍👩‍👧👵🏽🧑🏽‍🦽

🙏🏼 #ThankYou to everyone who chipped in with your views!💡We look forward to hearing from more people in the coming weeks.

Mr Anbarasan encountered an elderly couple who had trouble changing their car tyre in the rain and didn’t hesitate to help.

#ThankYou 🙏 Mr Anbarasan for your tyre-less act to help those in need and your professionalism!
#BuildingBetterTogether Our #ForwardSG conversations continue to yield diverse ideas to overcome various land transport challenges we face as well as the choices and trade offs we need to make. ⚖️

We are also hearing from people of various walks of life about how they would like to contribute to their future, from educating fellow road and path users on safety, co-solutioning and co-creating policies and infrastructure, to embracing greener travel modes. 🌱

#ThankYou for participating in these sessions, and do chime in if you have more to share! 🙏🏼
A key aspect of our #ForwardSG conversations involves making our land transport system future-ready for an aging population. 👵🏽👴🏽

🗣 To dive deeper into this topic, we recently had a discussion with a group of senior participants.

They shared with us their unique perspectives and suggestions, such as having “Senior Digital Ambassadors” to ease elderly persons into using transport applications.📱 They also expressed hope that everyone can be more gracious on our public paths and public transport, especially to be more considerate towards their needs. 🤝🚶🏻🚴🏽‍♀️

A big #ThankYou to all our participants for the lively discussions. 🙏🏽

Stay tuned for more updates! 😎

Kudos to all winners of this year’s Public Transport Safety and Security Awards (#PTSSA) for their efforts in ensuring safety and security across our PT network! 🥳🎉

#DidYouKnow The PTSSA comprises two categories:

1️⃣ The Operator category which recognises rail, bus and Point-to-Point operators for their commitment to safety for both employees and commuters alike. 🚇🚌🚕

2️⃣ The Public Transport Worker category which recognises the workers for preventing potential safety and security incidents through their timely actions and efforts to enhance operational safety at their workplaces. 🛡

With millions of PT journeys daily, it’s vital that our PT workers remain vigilant against potential threats to ensure commuters like you and I continue to enjoy safe and reliable rides.

#ThankYou 🙌 to all award winners once again and learn more about their contributions at ➡️ go.gov.sg/ptssa-2023

#PSA We’re happy to update that the integration of the Circle Line (#CCL) with our existing rail network will be completed more than a month ahead of schedule! Thanks to the early completion, train services on the CCL will resume normal operations from this Sat, 6 Apr 2024. 🥳

#DidYouKnow that these works were initially expected to conclude in May? Thanks to the collective efforts by our engineers and operator to streamline and optimise work processes based on site conditions, as well as the additional resources put in by our contractors to support 24/7 operations, we could complete the track works in 77 days instead of 126 as originally planned. 🛠️🗓️ This has allowed us to go back to business as usual and reduce the inconvenience to commuters.

A big #ThankYou to all commuters for your patience as we continue to work hard to improve everyone’s rail journeys. 🚇🧡
