#ThrowbackThursday From the days of helping commuters like you and I with our ticket purchase to encouraging us to use #SimplyGo on our buses and trains 🚌🚆, our public transport (PT) workers have indeed journeyed tirelessly with us throughout all these years! 💪

🗓️ From 1 January 2022, the Downtown Line (#DTL) 🚇 will transit to the New Rail Financing Framework version 2 (#NRFF2). This will bring DTL to the same version of the NRFF which is applied to most of our other rail lines.
Commuters will continue to enjoy reliable services when the operating model is rebalanced to ensure longer term financial sustainability.

Ready, set, go! 🏁
Together with the Singapore Bus Academy (#SGBA) and @e2i, we’ve just launched the inaugural Singapore BusTech Grand Challenge today! 🚌🏆
Competing in teams of three, a total of 24 bus technicians from GAS, SBST, SMRT and TTS went head to head against one another as they put their technical know-how in mechanical, electrical, and diagnostics aspects of our public buses to the test. 🛠🚌🧑🔧
Given that many of us rely on buses to get us to the nooks and crannies of Singapore daily, bus technicians are indeed the unsung heroes 🦸♀️🦸 who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our bus journeys remain safe, reliable, and comfortable. #ThankYouPTWorkers 🙏
As part of #PTWA2021, you can also check out various opportunities (more than 600 vacancies are up for grabs!) in our Public Transport Career Fair on 26 Nov 2021. More details ➡️ https://event.e2i.com.sg/web/PTCFNov21

The next-generation (nexgen) ERP system is an important project for us and we have made good progress in spite of the challenges posed by COVID-19. Unfortunately, the production of the on-board unit (OBU), an integral part of the system, has been affected by the ongoing global microchip shortage, a situation that has also impacted many other industries.
To ensure a smooth and uninterrupted experience for all motorists, the installation of OBUs is now planned to commence in the second half of 2023.
We are tracking developments very closely and are working with our partners NCS and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to overcome this challenge.
Rest assured we will give ample notice to motorists and the motor vehicle industry before we start the installation exercise. During this time, the current ERP system will continue to operate and there will be no changes to our congestion pricing framework.
