प्रथम विश्‍व खाद्य सुरक्षा दिवस
केन्‍द्रीय स्‍वास्‍थ्‍य एवं परिवार कल्‍याण मंत्री डॉ. हर्षवर्धन ने प्रथम विश्‍व खाद्य सुरक्षा दिवस (07-जून-2019) के अवसर पर कहा, ‘मैं भारत के सभी नागरिकों से अपील करता हूं ‘सही खाओ’ मुहिम को जन भागीदारी के साथ उसी तरह जन आंदोलन का रूप दें, जिस प्रकार हम सबने एकजुट होकर भारत को पोलिया मुक्‍त बनाया है।

स्टेम सेल को बचाएगी नई हाइड्रोजेल
चिकित्सा क्षेत्र में स्टेम कोशिकाओं का प्रत्यारोपण एक चुनौतीपूर्ण काम है क्योंकि इसमें प्रत्यारोपित कोशिकाओं के जीवित रहने से जुड़ी कई समस्याएं सामने आती हैं। स्टेम सेल, जब किसी घाव में प्रत्यारोपित किया जाता है, तो पैराक्रीन फैक्टर नामक रसायन छोड़ता है, जो ऊतक के पुनर्निर्माण के लिए आसपास की अन्य कोशिकाओं को प्रेरित करता है। भारतीय वैज्ञानिकों के एक समूह ने एक इंजेक्टेबल हाइड्रोजेल विकसित की है

टरीजा का इस्तीफा
ब्रिटिश प्रधानमंत्री टरीजा मे को सत्ताधारी कंजर्वेटिव पार्टी की नेता के तौर पर इस्तीफा दे दिया। मे के इस्तीफे ने नए प्रधानमंत्री का नाम तय करने के लिए होने वाले दिलचस्प मुकाबले का रास्ता साफ कर दिया है। नए प्रधानमंत्री के सामने ब्रेग्जिट (यूरोपीय संघ से ब्रिटेन का बाहर निकलना) के बाबत ब्रिटेन और यूरोपीय संघ (ईयू) के बीच बातचीत को मुकाम तक पहुंचाने की चुनौती होगी। अपने ब्रेक्जिट करार की बार-बार की नाकामी को लेकर बढ़ते दबाव के बीच टेरेसा मे ने अपना पद छोड़ने का ऐलान किया था।

Extension of PM-KISAN
The Centre on 8 June 2019 notified a decision to extend the benefit of Rs 6,000 per year under the PM-KISAN scheme to all 14.5 crore farmers, irrespective of the size of their landholding, in the country. A decision in this regard was taken in the first Cabinet meeting of the new NDA government on May 31.

G20 agrees with digital tax
Group of 20 finance ministers agreed on 8 June 2019 to push ahead on compiling common rules that will close loopholes that global technology giants such as Facebook use to reduce their corporate taxes, a copy of the bloc's draft communique obtained by Reuters showed. Facebook, Google, Amazon, and other large tech companies have come under criticism for cutting their tax bills by booking profits in low-tax countries regardless of the location of the end customer, practices seen by many as unfair.

RBI new NPA framework

केंद्रीय विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्री डॉ. हर्षवर्धन ने ‘’डीएनए प्रौद्योगिकी (उपयोग एवं अनुप्रयोग) विनियमन विधेयक–2019’’ लोकसभा में पेश किया। विधेयक प्रस्‍तुत करते हुए डॉ. हर्षवर्धन ने कहा कि यह विधेयक गुमशुदा व्‍यक्तियों, पीडि़तों, दोषियों, विचाराधीन कैदियों और अज्ञात मृत व्‍यक्तियों की पहचान के लिए ’डीएनए प्रौद्योगिकी के उपयोग एवं अनुप्रयोग के विनियमन से संबंधित है।

कश्‍मीर पर UNHRC की रिपोर्ट

2020 में देश के पहले विमान वाहक पोत का बेसिन ट्रायल
भारत में बन रहे स्वदेशी विमानवाहक पोत के निर्माण का कार्य तेजी से चल रहा है और मार्च 2020 तक यह बेसिन ट्रायल (कम गहरे पानी में परीक्षण) के लिए पानी में उतारा जा सकता है। इसके बाद पोत का सी ट्रायल (समुद्र के गहरे पानी में परीक्षण) होगा। इस पहले स्वदेशी विमानवाहक पोत का नाम आइएनएस विक्रांत होगा।
