🚔 Our enforcement officers have been hard at work over the holiday season to keep our roads safe. #GuardiansOfTheRoads 🛡️🚦

In the past two weeks, they conducted enforcement operations across Singapore, focusing on non-compliant modifications such as tinted films, decorative lamps, non-standard number plates and modified exhausts. 🔆🔊 🔢

Their efforts resulted in 86 vehicles being caught for over 165 offences. 📋👮

🚙 LTA remains committed to enforce these violations as part of our broader efforts to make the roads safer for everyone.

Last month, our #AMEOs conducted a week-long operation targeting the use of unregistered and non-compliant active mobility devices in various locations such as Ang Mo Kio, Bedok, Punggol, Woodlands and Yew Tee.

A total of 109 active mobility offences were detected. These included riding devices on wrong paths, non-compliant PAB number plates and riding without a mandatory theory test certificate.

In a separate operation, we acted against a retailer and impounded five non-compliant devices, four of which were personal mobility aid (PMA) lookalikes. LTA will continue to take firm action against errant retailers who supply non-compliant devices.

#Reminder: ⚠️ PMAs should only have one seat to support the user. Mobility scooters with more than one seat are classified as PMDs and must comply with the criteria for use on cycling paths. Do exercise caution and only purchase compliant active mobility devices for use on public paths and roads.

Hey Westies! Have you seen our recently completed road repurposing projects at #YungSheng Road and #ChoaChuKang Terrace? 🌳🚶🏼

With these newly pedestrianised spaces, you can now cross more safely and conveniently between Taman Jurong Shopping Centre and Taman Jurong Market & Food Centre. Residents at Choa Chu Kang Terrace can also access Sunshine Place more comfortably. 🏬 Check out some photos of the transformation!

There’s now more community space in both areas too – creating new opportunities for the community to connect and grow together.

These upgrades are part of our commitment to creating more liveable and inclusive neighbourhoods for everyone. 🥰
