We will begin installation of the new on-board unit (#OBU) under the #ERP 2.0 system in phases, starting with fleet vehicles (i.e. those which are registered to either a company or an organisation), from 1 Nov 2023.

For individual vehicle owners, we will inform you to install the OBU when it’s your turn. New vehicles will undergo OBU installation first, while the remaining vehicles will be scheduled in batches based on their age. Instructions will be provided and more details will be available in Q1 2024.

Check out the above to find out more.

#WhileYouWereSleeping As part of our ongoing efforts to maintain a high level of operational readiness in our public transport network, we conducted #ExerciseGreyhound, a joint ground deployment exercise for LTA to validate the rail operators’ contingency plans in the event of a train service disruption. 🚆📋

During the exercise, LTA, SBST and SMRT personnel simulated a multi-line train service disruption along the #TEL and #NEL at Outram Park MRT station. Station staff were deployed to assist commuters and bridging bus services were activated between affected stations.

Check out snippets of what went on last night in the photos above. 👆
Four drivers were booked in recent enforcement activity against those providing illegal cross-border chauffeured services between Singapore and Malaysia. 🚙🚗

We strongly discourage 🙅‍♂️ the public in engaging cross-border hire-and-reward services provided by persons using unlicensed vehicles as you may not be entitled to insurance recourse in the event of a traffic accident.

#Reminder Drivers who are caught providing hire-and-reward services, including cross-border services without a valid Public Service Vehicle License (#PSVL), can be fined up to $3,000, imprisoned for up to six months, or both. The vehicle used may also be forfeited.
#PSA We’ve just launched a Request for Proposal for a Master Plan consultancy to remake the surface streets along the North-South Corridor (#NSC)!

As we progressively complete the NSC’s tunnel and viaduct, surface streets along the corridor, such as Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6 and Ophir Road, can be repurposed (~30 football fields of space!) to give more priority for walking, cycling, buses, and community spaces. 🚴🏽‍♂️🚶🏻‍♀️🚌

#DoYouKnow that we’ve been engaging residents and other stakeholders on their ideas (see photos above!) for these spaces since July 2023? #NowYouKnow 🏘️👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

We’re now inviting experienced multi-disciplinary consultancy firms to develop a Master Plan to repurpose these spaces to promote #WalkCycleRide and make the streets along the corridor safer, more pleasant and welcoming for everyone!

Stay tuned for more details! 😎

Woohoo! We’re progressively rolling out 1,500 more pedestrian crossings with #GreenMan+ (GM+) card readers islandwide! 🥳🚦 Once completed by Q4 2027, this would bring our total number of GM+ readers to over 2,500! 🤯

👵👨‍🦯 With longer crossing times at more locations, the elderly pedestrians and Persons with Disabilities (#PwD) will get to travel around more comfortably when they tap their CEPAS-compliant Senior Citizen Concession Card or PwD Concession Card on the GM+ reader.

Look out for these GM+ readers in areas with high elderly population or at crossings that lead to amenities frequented by the elderly and PwDs. 🏘 Spread the word and stay tuned!
