Our green buses just got greener! 🚌🌿

Following the successful trial of two solar panel-fitted buses in 2021, Go-Ahead Singapore (GAS) will be deploying 50 more of such buses from now till end-Apr 2023! #WeAreWalkingOnSunshine ☀️😎

#FunFact Based on the trial, GAS was able to save 3-4% of fuel a year. This translates to an annual reduction of about 3.7-4 tonnes of carbon emissions per GAS bus. 😱 #GreenForTheWin 💚

#PSA We recently marked the start of construction works for the Jurong Region Line. 🚆🥳 We’re happy to report that other aspects of this project are also progressing smoothly.

Four electrical and mechanical services (E&M) contracts for the JRL have just been awarded. These are:

1️⃣ Supply and installation of E&M for Tengah Depot to Puretech Engineering Pte Ltd and Shinryo Corporation respectively; and

2️⃣ Supply and installation of E&M for the 10 JRL1 stations to Guthrie Engineering (S) Pte Ltd and Kandenko Co Ltd respectively.

When works are ongoing, we’ll try our best to minimise the inconvenience to the community.

Check out our video to learn about some of the measures that we’ve taken to manage the engineering challenges and reduce disamenities to residents during its construction. 👷‍♀️💪👷
#PSA 🛣️ With effect from 1 Feb 2023, further adjustments will be made to the computation method for #COE quota to reduce quarterly supply volatility.

Under the revised method (based on the rolling average of vehicles deregistered over the previous four quarters), the COE quota for Feb to Apr 2023 will be 9,437. Bidding under this quota will start on 6 Feb. The number of COEs available under the previous computation method would have been 8,695.

The May to Jul 2023 COE quota will be announced in Apr 2023.

#DidYouKnow The charging rate of your vehicle slows down after it is charged to 80%? 😯🔋

#ProTip Consider unplugging your #EV at 80% for a longer battery life! ⚡️ This will help to manage the longevity of the battery and allow it to perform at its optimal level.
