🚴♂️ As cycling gains more popularity for commuting and leisure, and our population ages, we aim to create safer paths for everyone.
🚲 We are continuing our efforts to expand our cycling network to 1,300km by 2030, with the latest addition being the 7.7km Bishan cycling network.
🚶🏻♀️🚶To further enhance safety, we’ll now designate footpaths adjacent to dedicated cycling paths as Pedestrian-only Paths. This would apply to over 200km of footpaths islandwide. Bicycles and non-motorised personal mobility devices will not be allowed on these Pedestrian-only paths. We’ll give a grace period for the transition before we start enforcement from 1 July 2025. Pedestrians should also keep to the Pedestrian-Only Paths for their safety.
We hope this will reduce conflicts between different path users, and ensure safer commutes for all. ☀️

#PSA 📢 Exciting news for westies!
With the completion of the Choa Chu Kang-Yew Tee cycling path network, commuting by bicycle is now easier and more convenient!🎉
Spanning around 11km, these cycling paths complement existing park connectors, providing better accessibility and connectivity to various amenities and parks across the two towns. 🏫🌳
We have also added over 300 bicycle parking lots at Choa Chu Kang MRT and various LRT stations in the neighbourhood and widened crossings to improve your safety and cycling experience! 🚲🚶♂️
#FunFact Did you know that some parts of the Choa Chu Kang-Yew Tee cycling paths were constructed using low-carbon concrete? This is in line with our ongoing commitment to be more sustainable in our construction projects.🌱#BuildLite
Now you can easily cycle your way to the nearest mall, the train station, or just to stay healthy! Remember to #MoveLite and explore these new paths to enhance your cycling experience!🚴🏼 #KeepCalmAndCycleOn
