Got a busy afternoon/evening ahead - with some kids playing #sports, another #working after #school and hubby and I have a meeting to attend.

So the #crockpot / #slowcooker is working it's #magic - a #beefstew for #dinnertonight which can be eaten in intervals with all the people coming and going around here. (Will put #rice in the oven later).

#crockpot #slowcooker #beefstew and #brownrice for #dinnertonight (the campers are coming back 😭😉😋).

Will add 8 cups of #boilingwater to the 4 cups of #rice later, which will take about 2 hours to cook on HIGH.

#dinnertonight - #chickenthighs are #defrosting in the sink covered with hot water, for a #mustard #cream #parmesan #chicken meal.

Hubby and my youngest son got me a #ricecooker for #mothersday - so I'm trying it out tonight (it has #oliveoil and #veggiestock mixed in 3 cups of #basmattirice just need to add water)!

On the stove top - #steamedbroccoli , back bowl - #corriander and #mushrooms . Front bowl - #chopped #leek #onions and #garlic (the chopped #vegetables will go with the chicken).

Baking tray - #honey and #dill #carrots (will bake these).

My bottom right #gasburner / #wokburner on my @smegaustralia #oven hasn't been working for many months now. (and it's been taking forever to boil large pots of water or fry anything on the smaller ones). I've had several people look at it, however only my hubby was able to work out it's problem.

So, while we wait for the part to arrive, I've only just started using our #camping #burner and it #worksatreat (only realising after the family went camping over the Easter break that I could have improvised) 🙄

Just cooked up some #mexicanbeef #mince in the #wok first, then transferred into my #oldfashioned #crockpot (in which I poured a can of #dicedtomatoes🍅 in to heat prior to adding from the wok mixture - setting on LOW).
