जीएसटी परिषद की बैठक
केंद्रीय वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण की अध्यक्षता में वस्तु एवं सेवा कर (जीएसटी) परिषद की पहली बैठक हुई। इस बैठक में कई अहम फैसले लिए गए। बैठक में जीएसटी रजिस्ट्रेशन को आसान बनाने के लिए आधार के जरिए जीएसटी रजिस्ट्रेशन का फैसला लिया गया। इसके अलावा जीएसटी एंटी-प्रॉफिटीयरिंग अथॉरिटी के कार्यकाल को भी 2 साल के लिए बढ़ा दिया गया है।

एफएटीएफ ने पाकिस्तान को दी चेतावनी
आतंकी फंडिंग रोकने के लिए गठित अंतरराष्ट्रीय एजेंसी फाइनेंशियल एक्शन टास्क फोर्स (एफएटीएफ) ने पाकिस्तान को चेतावनी दी है कि अगर वह इस संबंध में मान्य अंतरराष्ट्रीय नियमों को लागू नहीं करता है तो उसे अक्टूबर, 2019 में प्रतिबंधित किया जा सकता है।

हैल्थ इंडेक्स 2019
देश के बड़े प्रदेशों में सबसे खराब स्वास्थ्य व्यवस्था उत्तर प्रदेश और बिहार में है। खास बात यह है कि इन दोनों राज्यों की स्थिति सुधरने के बजाय बिगड़ती जा रही है। नीति आयोग के हैल्थ इंडेक्स 2019 पर ये दोनों राज्य देशभर में 21 बड़े प्रदेशों की रैंकिंग में सबसे निचले पायदान पर हैं जबकि केरल पहले नंबर पर, आंध्र प्रदेश दूसरे और महाराष्ट्र तीसरे नंबर पर हैं। वहीं सात संघ शासित क्षेत्रों के हैल्थ इंडेक्स रैंकिंग में चंडीगढ़ पहले नंबर पर है जबकि दिल्ली पांचवें स्थान पर है।

National health index 2019
For the second year in a row, Kerala has retained its top rank in the national health index, which analyses the overall performance and incremental improvement in all the states. According to the Health Index 2019 released on 25 June 2019 by NITI Aayog, Kerala is the top performer with a score of 74.01 out of 100, followed by Andhra Pradesh with 65.13 and Maharashtra with 63.99. Uttar Pradesh was the worst-performing state with a score of 28.61, followed by Bihar and Odisha.

A panel recommendation for MSMEs
A committee formed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), headed by former SEBI Chairman U.K. Sinha, has recommended a ₹5,000 crore distressed asset fund for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The fund will assist units in a cluster where there is a change in the external environment such as plastic ban, which had resulted in large number of such entities becoming non-performing.

UN report on sustainable development
Hunger is growing and the world is not on track to end extreme poverty by 2030 and meet other U.N. goals, mainly because progress is being undermined by the impact of climate change and increasing inequality, a U.N. report said.
