Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra is a large and imposing structure in the city of #Ajmer in #Rajasthan, India. A large number of architectural members and sculptures of #temples are lying inside the verandah of the complex.

The structure was used as a #mosque up to 1947. After the independence of India, the structure was turned over to the Jaipur circle of ASI (Archaeological survey of India) and is today visited by people of all religions, as a fine example of a mix of Indian, Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim and Jain architectures.
The #MoorishMosque, situated in #Kapurthala in the Indian State of #Punjab is patterned on the lines of the Grand Mosque of Marrakesh, Morocco. It was commissioned by Maharajah Jagatjit Singh, the last ruler of Kapurthala. Kapurthala city, was then the capital city of the Kapurthala State, known as 'Mini Paris of Punjab' and the #mosque was stated to be one of the best in South-east Asia. The mosque is a #NationalMonument protected by the Archaeological Survey of India.

The Nakhoda Musjid is the principal mosque of #Kolkata, India, in the Chitpur area of the Burrabazar business district in Central Kolkata, at the intersection of Zakaria Street and Rabindra Sarani.

The mosque was built as an imitation of the mausoleum of Mughal Emperor Akbar at Sikandra, Agra by Kutchi Memon Jamat, a small community of Sunni Muslim community from Kutch.

The #NakhodaMusjid the largest Muslim #Mosque in #WestBengal and eastern India ha a long history.
