Can't decide what I love more: This building or its backyard garden? .
.
In Bombay, open spaces that don't literally break you into a sweat, are a real blessing! The David Sassoon Library garden is one such beautiful, welcoming space. Tall trees with huge canopies are a natural acoustic barrier, cuts all noise from the busy road. And the garden has SWINGS!! Aur kya chahiye?

#HumayunTomb is an excellent example of Mughal #architecture in India. Built under the orders of Hamida Banu Begum the wife of Mughal Emperor Humayun in the mid 16th century this mausoleum is a complex of buildings located in Nizamuddin East Delhi. The globular dome high arches lattice stone windows and geometric patterns of the tomb reflect the traditional Islamic style of architecture. Its structural design is quite similar to TajMahal. Till date it is one of the leading attractions of Delhi drawing thousands of visitors everyday.

Often described as a "jewel box", sometimes called the "#BachchaTaj" or the "#BabyTaj", the #tomb of I'timād-ud-Daulah is often regarded as a draft of the Taj Mahal.

The tomb, built between 1622 and 1628, represents a transition between the first phase of monumental #Mughal #architecture – primarily built from red sandstone with marble decorations, as in Humayun's Tomb in Delhi and Akbar's tomb in Sikandra – to its second phase, based on white marble and pietra dura inlay, most elegantly realized in the Taj Mahal.

The mausoleum was commissioned by Nur Jahan, the wife of Jahangir, for her father Mirzā Ghiyās Beg, originally a Persian Amir in exile, who had been given the title of I'timād-ud-Daulah (pillar of the state). Mirzā Ghiyās Beg was also the grandfather of Mumtāz Mahāl (originally…
