We spoke to Harry Goodwin, pastor of The Well Church Wakefield, about why The Well decided to support Elim Missionary Lynette Orange.
"Supporting an existing missionary allows us to do our part to fulfill the great commission beyond our locality, and it allows us locally to fulfill our obligations to help achieve Elim's four national priorities. I would ask any church leader when it comes to making a difference to our international missionaries, 'If not YOU then WHO? If not NOW then WHEN?'"

The Be Free Campaign is the Elim Missions stand against human exploitation. There are many forms of exploitation into which people can be trafficked and held in slavery. It is estimated that there are currently 49.6 million people in what is now known as ‘modern-day slavery.’

Missions Sunday is on Sunday 23rd June. Every year on the Sunday closest to the 23rd of June, Elim churches mark the anniversary of the Vumba Massacre, when nine Elim Missionaries and four of their children were killed for their faith in 1978.
On Missions Sunday we take time to honour our martyrs, we pray for our Missionaries serving around the world today, and we consider how we each will respond to the call of God to make disciples of all nations.
