Be Free is Elim Missions’ stand against human exploitation.
This is defined as the illegal exploitation of humans in order to force them to engage in commercial sex, labour or other activities against their will. It relies on deception, force and coercion, and degrades humans by depriving them of their freedom while economically or materially benefiting others.
These practises are often referred to as ‘modern day slavery’. Today it is estimated that 40 million people are enslaved. The Be Free Campaign currently supports projects in Cambodia, Pakistan, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Indonesia.

In August a wave of persecution began against Churches and Christians in Pakistan.
Our Elim partners in Pakistan have seen brothers and sisters in the faith affected with 21 churches and approximately 200 homes being burnt by a large mob of Muslims. Victimised pastors and families have had to go into hiding for their safety.
There have been unsubstantiated accusations of blasphemy, with no proof whatsoever being brought forward. A number of pastors and their families have no shelter, no food and no housing; all their possessions having been burnt and lost.Our partners and their team in the area close to where this is taking place are seeking to provide secure support, having already hosted 10 families.
