A BE Church Story from Elim Cambodia 🇰🇭
Elim Cambodia, an Elim Global Partner, is running Church Planting training, equipping leaders to fulfil their “One Village, One Church” vision. They sent us a report of their recent seminars held in January.
⛪️ Church Planting Training
It was a wonderful start for the future leaders of the church planting movement as 28 were present in the two-day module-one seminar with 19 trainees, 3 visitors, 1 assistant and the host and team. We had three different tribal groups attend the training.
One of the joy and praise we are blessed with is the response of the trainees. They understood clearly the importance and their role in the Great Commission, and are excited to move further.
The most encouraging is the unit of these potential leaders working together regardless of their tribal differences, because of their identity with Christ.

Ukraine Conflict - Two Years On 🇺🇦
Today we mark the second anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Over the last two years, Elim has been working with our strategic partners Samaritan's Purse - as well as with our Missionaries in the region and Elim Ministers who have been able to travel to Ukraine - to support the relief efforts and resource the church in Ukraine.
Recently one of our team was preaching in an Elim church and shared some stories about what is going on in Ukraine. At the end of the service, a child came to him and said, "This is all I have, but I want to help." The child gave him a handful of coins, adding up to 52p. We are blown away by this act of generosity from a child who gave everything they had to help the people of Ukraine!

Elim Missions honours Rev. John Knox
Today is the funeral of John Knox, who served with distinction as an Elim Minister and Elim Missionary. John went to be with the Lord on the 10th of February.
John entered the Elim ministry in 1990 and served in our Worthing Elim church until 1995 when he and his then wife Valerie responded to the call of God to go to Spain where they served faithfully for 20 years until John retired in 2015.
John was the former President of Elim Spain and also the Lead Pastor at the Elim Church in Girona. John was also instrumental in the development of churches planted in Spain, and we are sure that the foundations and legacy are still being built on today.
Valerie passed away in 2021 and John married Ulla-Britt, a long-time friend of his and Valerie's, in October last year.

👋 Meet Our Missionaries 👋
I grew up in Northern Ireland and trained as a primary school teacher. For as long as I can remember I wanted to be a teacher and education has always played a big role in my life. I am passionate about teaching and desire to educate and help people in a way that will make a positive impact on their life and their future.
When I was growing up, I remember visiting missionaries coming to church and when I heard their stories I hoped that God would use me as a missionary one day.
During my teacher studies I had the chance to travel to Asia for the first time. I spent some time serving in China as a teacher and fell in love with the country. Whenever I left China I knew that God had more plans in Asia for me in the future. I first visited Cambodia in 2016. We spoke to Harry Goodwin, pastor of The Well Church Wakefield, about why The Well decided to support Elim Missionary Lynette Orange.
"Supporting an existing missionary allows us to do our part to fulfill the great commission beyond our locality, and it allows us locally to fulfill our obligations to help achieve Elim's four national priorities. I would ask any church leader when it comes to making a difference to our international missionaries, 'If not YOU then WHO? If not NOW then WHEN?'"
