One thing I've noticed is that often people aren't concerned about their words or their speech.

Infact it's such a common thing that the Bible has lots of verses telling people to be concerned about the things they say and the way they say it.

It's such an important thing that even fools who guard their mouth are like the wise "ዐዋቂ ሰው ንግግሩ ቍጥብ ነው፤ አስተዋይም መንፈሱ የረጋ ነው። አላዋቂ እንኳ ዝም ቢል ጠቢብ፣ አንደበቱንም ቢገዛ አስተዋይ ይመስላል።" -- ምሳሌ 17:27-28

The Bible specifically tells us what kinds of words we should speak
"እንደ አስፈላጊነቱ ሌሎችን የሚያንጽና ሰሚዎችን የሚጠቅም ቃል እንጂ የማይረባ ቃል ከአፋችሁ አይውጣ።" -- ኤፌሶን 4:29

Now the worst thing about this, and I've noticed this, is that people who don't guard their words often get harmed by it and you see them lose so much in life.

"በችኰላ የሚናገርን ሰው ታያለህን? ከእርሱ ይልቅ ተላላ ተስፋ አለው።" -- ምሳሌ 29:20

"አንደበቱን የሚጠብቅ ሕይወቱን ይጠብቃል፤ አፉ እንዳመጣለት የሚናገር ግን ይጠፋል።" -- ምሳሌ 13:3

And you can notice that most of these verses are from the book of wisdom. So it is absolutely wise to pay special attention to how and what you speak about.

If you're a woman (or man), you should look at the ideal Biblical woman who's found at Proverbs 31, and in reference to how she speaks, it says...

"በጥበብ ትናገራለች፤ በአንደበቷም ቀና ምክር አለ።"
-- ምሳሌ 31:26

If you're a man (or woman) you can check these out

"ሰው ተገቢ መልስ በመስጠት ደስታን ያገኛል፤ በወቅቱም የተሰጠ ቃል ምንኛ መልካም ነው!" -- ምሳሌ 15:23

"እግዚአብሔር ሆይ፤ ለአፌ ጠባቂ አድርግ፤ የከንፈሮቼንም መዝጊያ ጠብቅ።" -- መዝሙር 141:3

And most importantly remember that it's not the things that you eat that defile you, but the words and actions your bring forth...

"ከአፍ የሚወጣ ግን ከልብ ይመነጫል፤ ሰውንም የሚያረክሰው ይህ ነው" -- ማቴዎስ 15:18

Like 99% of the people, I did not care about the things I say (old posts are evidence) and I was worse in real life. I listen to old voice chats and I cringe my self to death and I can't believe the things that came out of my mouth.

I still struggle with some things like the obvious F words and stuff but I'm attentively trying to remove that and being around people who speak well and better helps.

Another thing is what you read or consume often shapes your language so adjust the shows, songs, books you read so your vocabulary is better and less disturbing. Then also write it gives you a better sense of structure. The more you write the more you'll understand that your speech can be as precise and fruitful as your writings.

Another thing to know is that God is constantly listening to you. Infact they're stories in the bible where God specifically heard the good and the bad of the people. So in essence if you care for your words, you're caring for God's ears in a way. And that's a goal to reach.

Most importantly the fruits of a well spoken person is just unimaginable immense. It's so rewarding when you speak wisely, calmly and with chosen words.

I've seen myself speak and I've seen it completely change a person for the better and heal them. I've also seen myself speak so foolishly and rudely and seen it cause so much damage.

So take it from me. Always strive to speak wisely and beautifully. It's such a beautiful goal. And it's such a unique character of a person.

Jesus was well spoken.

He specifically chose His words and the way He spoke according to His audience. And to speak like that is a Christian's goal.

I mean have you heard Him speak? Every single sentence is quotable (it is quoted) and that is so beautiful and healing.

You know what's a very interesting thought and this crosses my mind last night.

You know how God was telling Abraham that He will bless him and make him a great nation. By saying that God was also ready for the sins these people would commit against Him.

It's stuff like this that makes me know that God loves us more than the sins we commit.

I personally hate 2M2F, it disturbs me. Why would I criss cross connections?!
