[6 TIPS TO FRESHEN UP YOUR LINKEDIN PROFILE]

Right now is the perfect time to make sure your LinkedIn is in tip-top shape.

1. Personality: Treat your profile like a resume, but with flair. Be sure to have your job history/achievements listed, but add your personality and write in first person.

2. Profile Photo: Use a professional head shot for your profile if possible. At minimum, upload a well-lit photo of only yourself (this isn't the place for family photos).

3. Headline: Make sure your headline packs a punch. It should be specific, contain keywords and show your value proposition.

4. Engaging Content: Post several times a week (1-2x daily if you can). The LinkedIn algorithm highly favors original content versus simply re-sharing other posts. Need ideas? Ask questions, share a news tidbit, give a S/O to a coworker, thank a client, showcase a project, post a video, etc.

5. Build Your Network: Send connection requests to everyone you know to expand your network. Also, don't be afraid to ask (and give) recommendations to build credibility.

6. Showcase Achievements: LinkedIn is the place to highlight any and all of your professional accomplishments. Include specific, measurable data in your summary/experience sections.

Do not be too desperate... Get busy with something as you apply

Keep applying, hopefully something positive will come out of your jobsearch
