You are invited! “Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders” Information Sessions in Addis Ababa


2020 MWF Information Sessions in Addis Ababa

Hi Everyone, we are officially launching the 2020 Mandela Washington Fellowship program! The MWF is open to young leaders in Ethiopia who meet the following critera: 

Are citizens of and residents of Ethiopia; 

Are between the ages of 25 and 35 at the time of application submission; 

Are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the United States;

Are eligible to receive a United States J-1 visa; 

Are not employees or immediate family members of employees of the U.S. Government; 

Are proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English; and 

Are not already alumni of the Mandela Washington Fellowship.

Please visit mwfellows.info/apply to start your application.  Please widely use the attached flyer to share the information with your community members. The application closes on 9 October.  

If you live (or will physically be) in Addis Ababa, you can attend our information sessions during the application period. All Information Sessions in Addis Ababa will take place at the National Archives and Library Agency (NALA), or Wemezekir (wheelchair accessible now):

Sept 13 (Friday), 4:00-5:30 pm
Sept 17 (Tuesday), 4:00-5:30 pm
Sept 19 (Thursday), 4:00-5:30 pm
Sept 24 (Tuesday), 4:00-5:30 pm
Sept 26 (Thursday), 4:00-5:30 pm
Oct 1 (Tuesday), 4:00-5:30 pm
Oct 3 (Thursday), 4:00-5:30 pm
Oct 8 (Tuesday), 4:00-5:30 pm

MWF team and MWF alumni will be available to respond to questions from applicants on FB chat on Tuesdays (Sept 17, Oct 1, and Oct 8) from 3:00 until 4:00pm. We ask interested applicants to send their questions on FB on Mondays (Sept 16, 30, and Oct 7).

NALA (Wemezekir) Thursday sessions will go on FB live (Sept 19, 26 and Oct 3).

ገንዘብ ኖሮክ ደግሞ አጠቃቀሙን ስታውቀው ግን ገንዘብ መጠቀሚያ እንጂ የአምሮ ወይም የአሰተሳሰብ ልዕልናክን አሊያም ዝቅጠትን የሚያጋልጥ ሳይሆን አንተን የሚያገለግል ስለሚሆን አንተን ጠቅሞ ሌላውን ይጠቅማል።

ስለዚህ ገንዘብ በራሡ ነፃ (neutral) ነገር ነው። የማንም የአእምሮ ራቆትነት ብሎም የአስተሳሰብ ልዕልናን አያሣይም ሠውየው ስለ ገንዘብ እና አጠቃቀሙ ያለው እስተሳሰብ እንጂ ገንዘብ ከመጠቀሚያነት ያለፈ ሀይል ያለው ነገር ሆኖ አይደለም።
