ဗမာနိုင်ငံလုံးဆိုင်ရာကျောင်းသားသမဂ္ဂများအဖွဲ့ချုပ် နိုင်ငံခြားရေးရာကော်မတီ (ABFSU - Foreign Affairs Committee) က ၂၀၂၅ ခုနှစ် ဖေဖော်ဝါရီလ မှာ "Burma Update" စာစဉ်ကို ထုတ်ဝေလိုက်ပါတယ်။ ဒီစာစဉ်မှာ စစ်ကောင်စီရဲ့ ဖိနှိပ်မှုတွေအကြား ဗမာပြည်သူလူထုတရပ်လုံး ဒီမိုကရေစီရေးနဲ့ စစ်အာဏာရှင်စနစ်ဆန့်ကျင်ရေးအတွက် ရဲရဲဝံ့ဝံ့ တိုက်ပွဲဝင်နေတဲ့အကြောင်းတွေကို ရေးသားဖော်ပြထားတဲ့အပြင် နိုင်ငံတကာပြည်သူလူထုအနေနဲ့လည်း ဝန်းရံပေးကြဖို့ တိုက်တွန်းထားပါတယ်။

On May 12, 2025, a Myanmar military fighter jet dropped a bomb on a school in Oe-Htein-Kwin, Tabayin Township, during a declared ceasefire. This airstrike resulted in the deaths of over 20 students and 2 teachers, with more than 40 others injured. The school was operational amidst a devastating earthquake, and there were no armed clashes in the area.
This tragic event is part of a broader pattern of deliberate attacks on civilians, including children, by the junta since the 2021 coup. Approximately 4,985 airstrikes have been conducted across Myanmar, resulting in over 4,627 civilian deaths, including 775 children. Schools, hospitals, and entire villages have been targeted, violating international humanitarian law.
The Tabayin massacre highlights the urgent need for justice and accountability. The ASEAN's passive approach, with its unenforced "5-point consensus," has failed to protect civilians.
For true peace, military supply chains must be cut, fuel sanctions enforced, and war crimes prosecuted. The world must listen to the people of Myanmar, not the generals. The children of Tabayin and other victims must not be forgotten. Stand with the people of Burma and demand justice, not just for the dead, but for the living who continue to suffer.
