Hurray! Today we mark the completion of our 29th & 30th #SilverZone at Clementi West Street 2 & West Coast Drive respectively! 🥳🤍 We are on track to roll out another 20 islandwide by 2025. 💪🏼
 
🛣🚶‍♂️ Aimed at enhancing pedestrian safety, especially for the elderly 👵🏻🧓🏼, roads in Silver Zones have special features such as:
 
✅ Silver Zone Gateway Treatment
✅ Traffic Calming Markings
✅ Kerbless Crossings
✅ Y-Junctions
✅ Chicanes (aka S-shaped roads)
 
#FunFact - Each Silver Zone is unique & features vary by location. 🚗🛵 These features are all aimed at reminding motorists to slow down as well as to allow pedestrians to cross the road safely and conveniently.

We've just completed our 40th #SilverZone at Choa Chu Kang Crescent! 🎉
 
Silver Zones incorporate features such as Y-junctions and road humps to encourage motorists to slow down, making it safer for all pedestrians, especially the elderly 👴🏼👵🏼. With other features such as kerbless crossings and widened centre dividers, it is also easier for our seniors to cross the roads! 🚶🏼‍♀️
