#GoodNews for #Senja and #BukitPanjang residents!
The Kranji Expressway (KJE)/ Senja Road Interchange will open on Saturday 17 Dec 2022, adding a shorter and more direct vehicular 🚗🚚🛵 connection from Senja Road to both bounds of the KJE and Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) 🛣️!
#KeepCalmAndCycleOn We’ve just completed the cycling network in #BukitPanjang !

🚴🏽‍♀️🚶🏻With an addition of 8.5km of cycling paths, there are up to 16km of cycling paths and park connectors in the town.

↔️ To make space for these paths, we worked closely with stakeholders such as schools and also repurposed some of the existing road space where necessary. #MoreSpaceForYou

👨‍👩‍👧 Residents will now find it easier than ever to #GoGreen and #MoveLite by walking or cycling to amenities around the town or to Bukit Panjang MRT and LRT stations. 🙌🏽

👀 Check out the improvements! 😎
#BukitPanjang and #ChoaChuKang residents can ride the two new Bukit Panjang LRT (#BPLRT) trains from today, 1 Aug 2024! 🚆

These new trains will progressively enter passenger service and replace the first-generation LRT trains, some of which have been in service for over 20 years!

#ICYMI The BPLRT system has been undergoing renewal works as part of our ongoing rail improvement efforts to bring about better and more reliable journeys. Works are expected to be completed by 2026.

#BetterRidesForAll
📣 We are glad to update #BukitPanjang and #ChoaChuKang residents that #BPLRT will resume dual-loop services on weekends and public holidays from 28 Sep 2024. 🎉
📢🚨 #PSA From 14 Nov 2024 to 31 Oct 2025, train services on the #BPLRT will end an hour earlier at 10.30pm every Thursday to Sunday (excluding public holidays). This is to facilitate signalling system upgrades, as well as testing of new and retrofitted LRVs. These efforts are part of #BPLRT’s renewal programme to improve travel experience for commuters. 🚆

🚉 Update on renewal works:
• Upgrades to the Operations Control Centre and power rail replacement are ongoing;
• Dual-loop services can be expected to resume progressively on weekdays in the coming months;
• By end-2025, 19 new and 13 upgraded LRVs are expected to enter passenger service; and
• By end-2026, BPLRT renewal works are targeted for completion.

🚌 During the early closures, commuters can take existing bus services serving #BukitPanjang and/or #ChoaChuKang: 67, 171, 920, 922, 960, 963, 972, 972M, 973, 974, 976.
