#GoodNews We’ve just awarded a Street-hail Service Operator Licence (SSOL) to GrabCab Pte Ltd – a subsidiary of Grab Rentals Pte Ltd and sister company of GrabCar Pte Ltd! 🙌
GrabCab’s entry is expected to boost taxi supply and provide more choices for drivers and commuters. 📈🚕
GrabCab will be given a 3-year grace period to progressively expand their fleet to at least 800 taxis. The taxis must meet the following conditions:
🚕 Be easily identifiable by street-hail customers
👨🦽Have sufficient boot space for a folded wheelchair or luggage
💵 Follow the same taxi fare structure components as other street-hail operators, and prominent display of fare.
The licence will be valid for 10 years, commencing from 9 Apr 2025.

Since Jul 2024, we have:
🚌 Introduced 11 new bus services to improve connectivity in both new and existing estates
🗺️ Enhanced 43 existing bus services to increase capacity or coverage
We’ll launch 15 more new services and enhance more existing services to improve your commutes in the coming months:
27 Apr: 🆕 New Service 299 between Tampines North Bus Interchange and Tampines South
28 Apr: 🆕 New limited-stop service 21X between Whampoa and Novena
By Jun 2025:
• Additional trips on existing CDS 671
• Extend Service 292 to ply Tampines Street 11 in both directions and
• Add new supplementary service 230M between Toa Payoh town centre and Kim Keat Avenue

👮Our AMEOs continue to mount various enforcement operations around Singapore to catch errant users.
In the last two months, we detected a total of 93 offences, such as:
❌ Riding non-compliant or unregistered PABs & PMDs
❌ Riding devices on wrong paths
🚫 42 non-compliant devices were impounded during these operations. 🛻
Following public tip-offs, we also conducted seven ambush operations. This included acting swiftly against a group of errant PAB/PMD users seen riding recklessly along Commonwealth Ave West.
#Reminder AM users should follow the rules and regulations listed in go.gov.sg/amrules. First-time offenders face fines up to $2,000 and/or three months imprisonment. Non-compliant devices will also be impounded.

#COE quota for May to Jul 2025 will be 18,232. Compared to last quarter, this is an increase of 10% for Cat A, 5% each for Cat B and C, and 3% for Cat D. It is also a 21% increase in total COE quota from the same period last year.
