#KeepCalmAndCycleOn You can soon say hello to more cycling paths in the Central area! 🥳🚲
We’ve just called a tender to build 60km of new cycling paths in:
1️⃣ Bukit Merah and Kallang HDB towns
2️⃣ City Centre; and
3️⃣ Bukit Timah.
To be completed progressively by 2029, these paths will facilitate more convenient cycling journeys, adding to our goal of 1,300km of cycling paths by 2030. 💪
#DidYouKnow The cycling paths in Bukit Timah will also connect to the North-South Corridor (#NSC) cycling paths in the future? This will allow cyclists to easily ride into the city centre! 🏙
Meanwhile, on-ground works to build cycling paths in other areas are progressing well. 🙌

🚨 Enforcement ops at Changi Airport 🚨 We caught 12 drivers for providing illegal ride-hailing services within Singapore and to/from Malaysia, and impounded their foreign vehicles.
⚠️ Avoid using illegal ride-hailing services. They are unsafe and may lack proper insurance, putting passengers at risk.

#PSA We’ve completed the first phase of our review of the Point-to-Point (P2P) industry to improve the availability, stability and inclusivity of P2P services.
The following changes will take effect from 1 Jan 2025:
1️⃣ Two new operators, Geo Lah Pte Ltd and Trans-cab Services Pte Ltd, to be awarded one-year provisional licences to operate ride-hailing services;
2️⃣ Updated licensing conditions for all new P2P licence applications and renewals to better serve drivers and commuters’ needs;
3️⃣ Streamlined Taxi Driver’s Vocational Licence (TDVL) training curriculum from 24 Feb 2025 to make it easier for drivers to consider taxi driving.
Stay tuned for more updates in Mar 2025 as we continue to engage the industry on further stabilising the P2P sector.
