🚨 MTF announced earlier today that Land borders between Singapore 🇸🇬 and Malaysia 🇲🇾 will fully reopen on 31 Mar 2022, 2359 hours.🎉

🚗🛵 All foreign-registered vehicles must have a valid Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) in addition to other necessary travel documents. Those with existing valid VEPs will be able to drive in upon reopening.

🧑‍💻📱VEP applications must be done online on our OneMotoring website from 31 Mar. Do ensure you wait for LTA’s email approval before you embark on your journey. Those without valid Autopass cards and LTA’s VEP approvals will be turned back.

🗓 Do plan for your trip at least two weeks ahead to allow sufficient time for VEP application and approval.

Hands up 🙌🏻 if you’ve spotted (or rode in) any of our 60 electric buses! ⚡️🚌

#DoYouKnow why electric buses are a greener mode of transport? 🌱 For one, they help reduce carbon emissions by about 7,800 tonnes per year – equivalent to what 1,700 petrol cars would have generated! 😲 They are also quieter as they produce an ambient noise level of around 75 decibels – way lower than a typical bus plying our roads! #NowYouKnow 💡

#SayHello to more electric buses on our roads as we work towards electrifying 50% of our public bus fleet by 2030. 🤩

How are we sustaining the momentum of Singapore’s transition to #ElectricVehicles (EVs)? ⚡️🚗 Today, Minister Iswaran shared about our plans to accelerate the expansion of our EV charging network and to make information on charging points more accessible.

These include:
1️⃣ Launching a tender in April to deploy an additional 12,000 charging points in nearly 2,000 existing and upcoming HDB carparks by 2025, in tandem with the pick-up in demand 🔋⚡️

2️⃣ Enhancing the MyTransport.SG mobile app so that EV drivers can easily locate public charging points and access information on the chargers 📍🗺

3️⃣ Launching a new public education campaign - #PowerEVeryMove - to raise awareness of EV as well as their benefits to owners and the environment 🌱🌏
