We were alerted to several potholes 🕳️ along Tanah Merah Coast Road which was caused by the heavy rain since last Friday ☔.
Cracks form on the road surface as part of normal wear and tear and are typically repaired during regular inspection, maintenance, and road resurfacing works. During rainy weather, water seeps in 🌧️ and widens the cracks as vehicles go over them🚗. This is worsened by prolonged heavy rainfall 🌧️🌧️ that we experienced over the past few days.
The potholes have since been repaired on 12 January 2025.
If you spot road defects (e.g., potholes) , you can report them via the ‘Snap & Send’ function 📱 on the MyTransport.SG mobile application or the Municipal Services Office’s OneService application – https://go.gov.sg/reportpothole.

Sneak peek behind #LTA's first-ever recycled bridge at Sungei Lanchar! 🌉♻️
Did you know that about 90% of this pedestrian bridge was repurposed from another pedestrian overhead bridge at Marymount Road?
We completed the launching works on 17 Jan and expect the pedestrian bridge to open in Q2 2025 once we finished the remaining reinstatement works. 🎉
Once completed, it will enhance connectivity for residents to Lakeside #MRT and nearby amenities. 🚶♀️🚶♂️

#GoodNews We’ve recently completed the implementation of Pedestrian-Only Paths at Toa Payoh! 🚶
#DidYouKnow To enhance pedestrian safety, especially for the elderly and children, 200km of footpaths adjacent to cycling paths will be converted to Pedestrian-Only Paths where feasible.
These paths will provide active mobility device users and pedestrians better clarity on which paths they should use. Check out the visuals for more details.
#Reminder Be gracious and keep to the correct paths to ensure safer journeys for all. 🚲🛴
#TakeNote ⚠️ Enforcement against those riding on these Pedestrian-Only Paths will commence from 1 July 2025.
