In line with our long-term “car-lite” vision, the Vehicle population Growth Rate (VGR) for Categories A, B and D will remain at 0% growth per annum, while Category C will be 0.25% % per annum from 1 Feb 2025 until 31 Jan 2028.
Starting Feb 2025, up to 20,000 additional COEs across the vehicle categories will be progressively injected over the next few years. This adjustment reflects recent trends in vehicle usage, the improved capabilities of ERP 2.0 coupled with significant investments in our public transport network.

Since November 2023, about 150,000 vehicles have been fitted with the On-Board Units (OBUs). Authorised installers have ramped up their capacity to handle more vehicles, while we have streamlined the booking process for vehicle owners.
🚗 All owners of eligible Singapore-registered vehicles can now directly book your OBU installation appointment with your preferred authorised workshop—just like how you would for vehicle servicing or repairs—no need to go through LTA’s booking portal or wait for an official notification. This makes it super convenient to combine your OBU installation with other services, further reducing downtime for motorists. 📡 So far, around 90,000 vehicle owners have installed the OBU by proactively contacting their workshops.
To find an authorised workshop, visit 👉 go.gov.sg/book-obu. We will also be sending notifications to all remaining Singapore-registered vehicles to remind motorists to install the OBUs within the installation window.

🚧 #PSA We’re laying new train tracks to connect the East-West Line (#EWL) to the new East Coast Integrated Depot (#ECID). When connected to the rail network, the ECID will improve rail efficiency and resilience.
🚉 To facilitate these works, #EWL train services will be temporarily adjusted at Tanah Merah, Simei, Tampines, Pasir Ris, Expo, and Changi Airport stations from 7 to 10 Dec 2024.
🗓️ During this period, there will be no train service at Simei as well as between Tanah Merah and Tampines stations.
⏰ Commuters can take 🚆 shuttle trains 🚆 that will operate between:
🟢 Tanah Merah and Expo stations,
🟢 Expo and Changi Airport stations, and
🟢 Tampines and Pasir Ris stations.
For those travelling to and from Simei Station, 🚌 Shuttle 7 bus 🚌 will run every 3 to 5 minutes between Tampines, Simei, and Tanah Merah stations.
🚏Commuters can also take regular bus services or other MRT lines such as the Downtown Line 🔵 or Circle Line 🟠.
🔗 Refer to https://go.gov.sg/ecid-trackworks for more details!
