“It suddenly hit me that I’m looking for change, waiting for change - but what am I doing to make it happen?” — Dr Navin Nair, a recipient of the Goh Chok Tong Enable Awards (Promise) in 2022.
Since 2003, Dr Nair has been an active voice in making our public transport system more inclusive for Persons With Disabilities (#PWD). #TransportForAll 🚌🚆
As a member of our Active Mobility Enforcement Division, he now taps on his own experience and shares other PWDs’ perspectives on personal mobility aids (#PMA) to help us improve PWDs’ journeys even more. 🤝 🚴🏽♂️🚶🏻👨🏽🦼

#CaringCommuters unite! The #SGMobilityGallery is inviting aspiring young artists to participate in its art competition! 🧑🏻🎨👩🏻🎨🎨
If your child is aged 7 to 12 years old, share their take on how they can be a Caring Commuter Hero and help make public transport journeys friendlier and more pleasant for everyone. 🥰❤️
The top 3 winners will win an iPad and selected artworks will also be featured on public transport nodes island wide. 🤩

#KeepCalmAndCycleOn Bicycle sharing services, which support our drive towards a car-lite society, are favoured by many for first-last mile connections today.
🚲 A variety of operators provide this service to commuters, with new entrants given a sandbox licence to operate a limited fleet of bicycles for a year. This ensures that the landscape remains open to new ideas and innovations to strengthen service standards further. 💪🏼
✨ The newest of these operators, HelloRide, has now been granted a full licence to operate bicycle sharing in Singapore! 💙🚴♂️

Hurray! Today we mark the completion of our 29th & 30th #SilverZone at Clementi West Street 2 & West Coast Drive respectively! 🥳🤍 We are on track to roll out another 20 islandwide by 2025. 💪🏼
🛣🚶♂️ Aimed at enhancing pedestrian safety, especially for the elderly 👵🏻🧓🏼, roads in Silver Zones have special features such as:
✅ Silver Zone Gateway Treatment
✅ Traffic Calming Markings
✅ Kerbless Crossings
✅ Y-Junctions
✅ Chicanes (aka S-shaped roads)
#FunFact - Each Silver Zone is unique & features vary by location. 🚗🛵 These features are all aimed at reminding motorists to slow down as well as to allow pedestrians to cross the road safely and conveniently.

🎉 #WhatWeHaveBeenUpTo We’ve been busy with the preparations for Stage 4 of the Thomson East Coast Line (#TEL4) which will open next year.
The 7 stations of TEL4 (Tanjung Rhu to Bayshore) should bring a smile to Easties and connect them directly to the city centre and beyond. Station construction is progressing well, and there’s still much to be done. #WorkInProgress
At the same time, our engineers will be meticulously testing the various systems and putting the TEL trains through their paces to get them ready for debut. 🚇🛠️🔍
