✏️ HOW TO DEVELOP WRITING SKILLS

1. Read newspapers in English
There is a choice what media to read - classical literature or modern media. When choosing the last one, you will “absorb” popular words and sentences that native speakers use regularly. Choose the edition of the subject that is closest to you. You can start small - devote every morning at least 15 minutes to reading news feeds.

2. Create a blog or diary
Another good habit is to set aside daily diary time. You can, of course, make notes on paper, but it is much more interesting to create a blog on the Internet, to correspond with like-minded people, leave comments and discuss relevant topics in English. However, a paper-based diary is amazing to keep through years and develop your hand-writing.

3. Find a pen friend
Today, in a few clicks, you can find a penpal abroad. The easiest way to do this is on Instagram. It is enough to enter into the search the hashtags #penpalswanted and #smailmail, as you will see hundreds of pages of fans of "live" letters. It is customary to put small souvenirs in envelopes - as a rule, these are stickers, decorative scotch tapes, stamps, brochures about your city in English or calendars.

4. Try special sites
Take advantage of useful interactive exercises that you can perform on the Internet, often watch useful videos. The ESOL courses: Free English lessons online site contains tasks by levels - you need to insert words that match the meaning in the text, and here you can find useful videos in the Writing section that will help you to significantly improve your writing skills for IELTS.
