🅾 Mountain Climber 🅾
The night fell heavily in the heights of the mountain, and the man could not see anything. All was black. Zero visibility, and the moon and the stars were covered by the clouds. As he was climbing...only a few feet away from the top of the mountain, he slipped and fell into the air.
Falling at a great speed the climber could only see black spots as he went down, and the terrible sensation of being sucked by gravity. He kept falling... and in those moments of great fear, it came to his mind all the good and bad episodes of his life.
He was thinking now about how close death was getting, when all of a sudden he felt the rope tied pulled his waist. His body was hanging in the air... Only the rope was holding him.
And in that moment of stillness he had no other choice but to scream: "Help me, God". All of a sudden, a deep voice coming from the sky answered: "What do you want me to do?"
"Save me, God!"
"Do you really think I can save you?"
"Of course I believe you can."
"Then cut the rope tied to your waist."
There was a moment of silence... and the man decided to hold on the rope with all his strength.
The rescue team tells that the next day a climber was found dead and frozen. His body was hanging from a rope, his hands holding tight to it, only three feet away from the ground.

شب ارتفاعات کوه را تماما در برگرفت و مرد هیچ چیز را نمی توانست ببیند. همه چیز سیاه بود. هیچ دیدی وجود نداشت و ابر ماه و ستاره ها را پوشانده بود. همان طور که از کوه بالا می رفت. چندقدم مانده به قله ی کوه پایش لیز خورد از کوه پرت شد.
کوهنورد درحالی که به سرعت در حال سقوط بود فقط لکه های سیاهی را در مقابل چشمانش می دید، و احساس وحشتناک مکیده شدن به وسیله نیروی جاذبه وجودش را فرا گرفت. همچنان سقوط میکرد... و در آن لحظات بسیار ترسناک، همه ی رویدادهای خوب و بد زندگی به یادش آمد.
اکنون فکر میکرد مرگ چقدر به او نزدیک است. ناگهان احساس کرد که طناب به دور کمرش محکم شده. بدنش میان آسمان و زمین معلق بود و فقط طناب او را نگه داشته بود.
و در آن لحظه سکون، چاره ای نداشت جز آنکه فریاد بکشد"خدایا کمکم کن!". ناگهان صدای پُر طنینی از آسمان جواب داد: "ازمن چه می خواهی؟"
- خدایا نجاتم بده
- آیا واقعا باور داری که من می توانم تو را نجات دهم؟
- البته که باور دارم
- پس طنابی که محکم به کمرت بسته شده را پاره کن.
یک لحظه سکوت... و مرد تصمیم گرفت با تمام نیرو به طناب بچسبد.
گروه نجات می گوید که روز بعد یک کوهنوردِ مُرده و یخ زده را پیدا کردند. بدنش از یک طناب آویزان بود و با دست هایش طناب را محکم گرفته بود... او فقط یک متر از زمین فاصله داشت.

Once upon a time a very strong woodcutter asked for a job in a timber merchant, and he got it. His salary was really good and so were the working conditions. For that reason, the woodcutter was determined to do his best.His boss gave him an Axe and showed him the area where he was supposed to fell the trees.
روزگاران قدیم،چوب بر نیرومندی بود نزد یک تاجر چوب تقاضای کارکرد و استخدام شد.دستمزدش خیلی خوب بود و بنابراین شرایط کاری خوبی داشت.به همان دلیل،چوب بر اراده داشت به بهترین نحو،کارش را انجام دهد. اربابش به او تبری ای داد و محدوده ای که باید درختان را قطع میکرد، به او نشان داد

The first day, the woodcutter brought fifteen (15) trees. “Congratulations,” the boss said, “Carry on with your work!”Highly motivated by the words of his boss, the woodcutter tried harder the next day, but he only could bring ten (10) trees. The third day he tried even harder, but he was only able to bring seven (7) trees. Day after day he was bringing less and less trees.
روز اول ،چوب بر پانزده درخت آورد.ارباب گفت:”تبریک میگویم،به کارت ادامه بده“
چوب بر که از حرف اربابش حسابی تشویق شده بود،روز بعد تلاش بیشتری کرد،اما توانست فقط ده درخت بیاورد.روز سوم،او بیشتر تلاش کرد اما توانست فقط هفت درخت بیاورد.یک روز پس از روز دیگر،او کمتر و کمتر درخت آورد

“I must be losing my strength.” The woodcutter thought. He went to the boss and apologized, saying that he could not understand what was going on.
“When was the last time you sharpened your axe?” The boss asked.
“Sharpen? I had no time to sharpen my axe. I have been very busy trying to cut trees…”
چوب بر فکر کرد:”من حتما قدرتم را از دست داده ام”.او نزد ارباب رفت و با گفتن اینکه او نمی تواند بفهمد چه اتفاقی افتاده بود،عذر خواهی کرد

Moral: Most of us never update our skills. We think that whatever we have learned is very much enough. But good is not good when better is expected. Sharpening our skills from time to time is the key to success.

Emily is 8 years old. She lives in a big house. She has a huge room. She has many toys and she has a lot of friends. But Emily is not happy. She has a secret.
امیلی 8 سال سن دارد. او در یک خانه بزرگ زندگی می‌کند. او یک اتاق خیلی بزرگ دارد. او اسباب بازی‌ها و دوستان زیادی دارد. اما امیلی شاد نیست. او یک راز دارد.
She doesn’t want to tell anyone about her secret. She feels embarrassed. The problem is that if nobody knows about it, there is no one that can help her.
او نمی‌خواهد به در مورد رازش به کسی بگوید. او احساس شرمساری می‌کند. مشکل این است که اگر کسی (هم) در این مورد بداند، هیچ کس نمی‌تواند به او کمک کند.
Emily doesn’t write her homework. When there is an exam – she gets sick. She doesn’t tell anyone, but the truth is she can’t read and write. Emily doesn’t remember the letters of the alphabet.

Jack and Lydia are on holiday in France with their friends, Mike and Anna. Mike loves to visit historical buildings. Jack agrees to sightsee some historical buildings with him.
جک و لیدیا تعطیلات را همراه با دوستانشان مایک و آنا در فرانسه به سر می‌برند. مایک عاشق بازدید کردن از ساختمان‌های تاریخی است. جک موافقت می‌کند تا همراه با مایک به دیدن چند ساختمان تاریخی برود.
Lydia and Anna decide to shop in the city. “See you boys when we get back!” the girls shout.
لیدیا و آنا تصمیم می‌گیرند تا در شهر خرید کنند. دخترها داد می‌زنند: "وقتی برگشتیم شما پسرها را می‌بینیم!"
In the village Jack and Mike see a beautiful old church, but when they enter the church, a service is already in progress. “Shh! Just sit quietly, so that we don’t stand out. And act like the others!” Mike whispers.
در روستا، جک و مایک یک کلیسای قدیمی زیبا را می‌بینند اما وقتی وارد کلیسا می‌شوند، می‌بینند که یک مراسم در حال برگزاری است. مایک در گوشی می‌گوید:« هیس! فقط آرام بنشین تا کسی متوجه ما نشود. و مثل بقیه رفتار کن!»
Since they don’t really know French, Jack and Mike quietly sit down. During the service, they stand, kneel and sit to follow what the rest of the crowd do.
چون جک و مایک فرانسوی خوب بلد نیستند آرام یک جا می‌نشینند. طی مراسم، آنها بلند می‌شوند، زانو می‌زنند و می‌نشینند تا هرکاری که جمعیت انجام می‌دهند را تقلید کنند.
“I hope we blend in and don’t look like tourists!” Mike tells Jack.
مایک به جک می گوید: "امیدوارم قاطی جمعیت شویم و شبیه گردشگرها نباشیم."
At one point, the priest makes an announcement and the man who sits next to Jack and Mike stands up. “We should stand up, too!” Jack whispers to Mike. So, Jack and Mike stand up with the man. Suddenly, all the people burst into laughter!
یک بار کشیش کسی را صدا می‌زند و مردی که کنار جک و مایک نشسته است بلند می‌شود. جک در گوش مایک می‌گوید: "ما هم باید بلند شویم!" پس جک و مایک همراه مرد بلند می‌شوند. ناگهان، همه‌ی آدم‌ها شروع به خندیدن می‌کنند!
After the service, Jack and Mike approach the priest, who speaks English. “What’s so funny?” Jack asks. With a smile on his face the priest says, “Well boys, there is a new baby born, and it’s tradition to ask the father to stand up.”
بعد از مراسم، جک و مایک پیش کشیش که انگلیسی صحبت میکرد، رفتند. جک پرسید: "چه چیز خیلی خنده‌دار بود؟" کشیش با لبخندی بر لب گفت: "خب پسرها، یک نوزاد متولد شده و رسم این است که از پدر خواسته شود تا بلند شود و بایستد."
Jack and Mike look at each other and Mike shakes his head. He smiles and says, “I guess we should understand what people do before we act like the others!”
