The #MirjanFort is located on the west coast of the #UttaraKannada district in the southern Indian state of #Karnataka. The fort known for its architectural elegance was the location of several battles in the past. It is about 0.5 kilometres from the National Highway 66 and 21 kilometres from Gokarna, the famous Hindu pilgrimage centre on the west coast of India.

#MurudeshwaraTemple is fast becoming one of the most popular tourist spots in #Karnataka because of the humongous statue of Shiva that it houses. The temple is built on the #KandukaHill and is surrounded by the #ArabianSea on three sides. Travellers from all over the world come to marvel at not just the 123-ft Shiva temple but also the 20-storey (237ft) Gopuram at the front.
