Today the UN General Assembly recognised that Russia must be held accountable for its aggression against Ukraine.

Adopted by 94 to 14 votes, the #UNGA resolution recommends the establishment of a registry of damages & recognises the need for compensation for damages caused.

💬 EU Ambassador to the UN:

“Under international law, Russia is under an obligation to make full reparation for the damage caused by its internationally wrongful act. There is no question of whether Russia should pay, but rather of when it will pay, and how much.”
