They have the whole EU behind them.

We will step up our support to Ukraine, sharpen our sanctions and break free from Russian fossil fuels."


🗨️ "This morning POTUS and I agreed a new energy partnership.
The 🇺🇸 will provide us with at least an additional 15 bcm of LNG this year.
In the coming years, we are aiming for at least 50 bcm per year.
And this would replace 1/3 of all Russian gas supply to Europe."

🗨️ "The root cause of high electricity prices is, in big part, high and volatile gas prices.
So we will join forces, pool our demand and use our collective bargaining power when purchasing gas."

🗨️ "In addition, we must complete pipeline infrastructure and ramp up our storage.
This will be our insurance policy against supply disruption.
It also time to look at the design of our energy market.
We will present options in May."

The European Commission is presenting today its sixth package of sanctions, including:

▫ Listing of high-ranking military officers
▫ De-swifting major Russian banks
▫ Banning state-owned broadcasters
▫ Phasing out Russian oil

The EU wants Ukraine to win this war.
That is why the European Commission is also proposing to start working on an ambitious recovery package for our Ukraine. It will pave the way for Ukraine’s future inside the European Union
