Sam Altman was removed from being the CEO and also from board of directors of OpenAI
Grek Brockman will also be stepping down from being the chairman of the board.
The board said that Sam was not consistently candid in his communications with them.
Mira Murati, the company’s CTO will serve as interim CEO, effective immediately until a new permanent CEO can be found.
Even OpenAI employees are caught by surprise over the news.

I get that the board should be fully aware of the CEO's actions and that Sam probably has been annoying to them for a while.
And ofcourse the board wants to gain back power probably involves conflicting plans as well.
So the board fires the CEO by video call without even telling its chair. What a bunch of snakes tbh.

Well Sam Altman didn't return back to his CEO role but instead Twitch's former CEO Emmett Shear is hired.
To be honest I think CEO's are easier to replace than CTO's.

Sam Altman is very brilliant. He got his Stargate project, which's the largest AI infrastructure in the world, started with an insane investment of $500 billion. This's like a huge checkmate to Elon Musk's AI company as well.
No wonder Sam personally donated $1 million to Trumps's inauguration while others through their company.
Also the partners are an insane list of comapanies with Oracle positioning themselves in a valuable position. I mean I can only imagine the work put into making this possible not to mention they've already started building.

Raising half a trillion dollars out of his initial 3 trillion dollars goal is just mind-blowing and impressive to say the least.
Just so you understand how massive this project is we built the nuclear bombs in the Manhattan Project for nearly $30B and then we sent men to the moon in the Apollo Program for $257B both in today's money.
