My primary device is the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and it's magnificent in all it's glory. Everysingle pixel of it, every single corner of it is made to perfection.
I've unboxed them both, I've used them both, I've tested them both. But the S22 Ultra is just incredible, from software to hardware. Not to mention it comes with a Stylus!
The AI/ML processing is just incredible. The speed and smoothness, the polished android, the processed images, the lengthy battery life. All give a win to the S22 Ultra.
The IPhone 13 Pro Max is as epic too, except that it's huge and it's really rough to hold with it's sharp edges. It feels like a flat square plate in your hands. Despite the S22 Ultra looking rectangular it's got an incredible feel to your hands, the way it curves and the material it's made is smoother and comfortable to the touch.
The i13 pro max is really fast, sturdy, solid and predictable which makes it easy to use and a bit more dependable. It's got an incredible camera, that takes natural looking photographs. And an incredible speed of processing and AI/ML stuff. It's also got small gimmicks here and there that solve tiny but important problems for the average user, like you can't see what people are watching from the side; the screen blurs unless you're looking at it from the front.
But even with all that, calling the S22 Ultra just a phone seems degrading to it cause of what it's able to do. I have been a long time IPhone user and a huge fan of it still. But despite all the hype and glory, I genuinely think that you get more value per dollar with the S22 Ultra than the IPhone 13 Pro Max.
