NVIDIA introduced ACE AI technology for generating speech and facial animations of NPCs!

There are three technologies within ACE for Games:
• NeMo - a large language model (LLM) will help in teaching NPCs (non-player characters) to freely communicate with the player;
• Riva - automatic speech recognition and text-to-speech. Used in conjunction with NeMo;
• Omniverse Audio2Face - generation of facial animations of characters based on a single audio recording of speech.

It is not yet known how demanding ACE will be on hardware and when it will appear in real games.

I wish I could describe it all for you. But I feel slight sorrow by how fast and uncontrollably accelerated compute and AI is growing.

The kind where competition isn't even considered. And where entire countries and continents could be left behind. As if some cities have time travelled into the future and we're left behind.

And tho NVIDIA's plans and tech is mind blowing, it's also eerie, it's almost like we're making Pantheon real tbh.

NVIDIA and xAI have unveiled Colossus, the world’s largest AI supercomputer, built in just 122 days and powered by NVIDIA’s Spectrum-X Ethernet networking.

This supercomputer houses 100,000 NVIDIA Hopper GPUs 🤯 (Jsyk a single H100 costs more than $25k and they're planning to double the GPU county to 200k)

Watching a bunch of epic things. Like they trained a neural net to generate pixels so that in the consumer devices not a lot of computation happens. Also unveiled the new GeForce RTX 50 series with the Blackwell architecture.

My favorite is Nvidia Digits which's an attempt to bring powerful computers to consumers.
