When OpenAi launched deep research I thought it was boring and nothing fundamental so I never really used it. But after trying it over a few subjects and then cross checking it — it is very reliable and good. So now I'm using it when I want a comprehensive document.
Free version gets 5 free deep research per month so feel free to utilize it. This version produces shorter but still well-researched and sourced reports, taking about 5 to 10 minutes per query.

Gonna try T3.chat
The same prompt to the same model give very different responses in the ChatGPT app and in T3.chat. Both are set to GPT-5 but the one from T3.Chat doesn't allow copyrighted content — I tried this in my own AI sites but works.
Also T3.chat is alright, it's nice but I wish they had a mobile app to complete the experience but what's odd is that it's not as fast as advertised.

Each night, it synthesizes information from your memory, chat history, and direct feedback to learn what’s most relevant to you, then delivers personalized, focused updates the next day. These could look like follow-ups on topics you discuss often, ideas for quick, healthy dinner to make at home that evening, or next steps toward a longer-term goal such as training for a triathlon.
This's for pro users now but it will eventually roll out to plus and free users.

So my ChatGPT chat history goes all the way back to 2023 (I cleared everything before that) and I had used cheap models like text-davinci-002 but for the most of the history I used gpt-4o and a very small amount of gpt-5 lately.
So we can assume gpt-4o being the average model used. And it costs $2.50 per 1m input and $10 per 1m output.
So my 231,593 Input is $0.58 and my 1,306,960 Output token cost is $13.07 which is a total of just $13.65. That's it! All these conversations for over 2 years and it costs ~$14 so you can imagine the margin of profit they're making on their $20 subscriptions that only last for a month.
I did some more calculations. If my entire conversation history over the past two years was using gpt-5 which costs $1.25 per 1m input and $10 per 1m output it would come to a total of just $13.07 which is insane to think about.
They lowered their cost of inference but kept the price of the subscriptions the same.
Okay I did even more calculations. For a long while the default model during 2023 was davinci-002 and it costs $2 per 1m input and output. So if my last 2 years of conversations were only using this model it would cost just $3 while their subscription at that time was still $20
