Ahhh this's soo cool guys. Ik that there's only like a tiny portion of you who'll understand the excitement but I'm just gonna say it anyways:
The domain is like any other domain, but it's for the decentralized internet. So regular internet can't casually access it, it needs a proxy, you have to run a proxy and then you can host your files, websites, media and more.
That's all a bit complicated but fun, but most importantly you get so much storage on the Blockchain for so cheap.
Now why that's important is because the TON Blockchain costs money for every single line of code being run in their smart contracts, and every bit of data being stored is fined per second.
So what the domain essentially does is like buying a server and I'm happy because it's so cheap ($3) and obviously it makes things easier when I'm trading.

It's worth every dollar. And ofcourse you know me, I don't spend for no reason. This is worth it.
I'd like to tell you why, but it's so technical but essentially, I think the TON Blockchain and it's decentralized internet is superior to every single Blockchain out there ... Including Bitcoin and Ethereum's.
It has solved both scalability (Ethereum's issue) and flexibility (Bitcoin's issue) issues and has the most epic security measures in place.

Okay here're a few epic things I've learned and loved about TON and it's architecture.
• TON is a decentralized internet — it's got DNS, storage, crypto, transactions, DOS protections and so much more. It's literally a fully built decentralized internet that people can build tokens, dApps and more on.
• It's a blockchain of blockchains — every single contract is isolated and only communicate by messages and so this architecture allows people to implement their own blockchains, crypto, tokens... inside of it. Meaning bitcoin, ethereum, solana and others seamlessly integrate with it.
• It's both flexible and scalable — Bitcoin isn't flexible, the only data and logic it has revolves around bitcoin crypto. Ethereum wanted to fix the flexibility issue of bitcoin and they did, except that now they couldn't scale because it was so flexible. Then TON comes and solves both of these. The problem now is that the DX is a bit hard to understand.
• Smart Contracts can be assets — you can literally create assets of any kind you want. You can create FTs, NFTs, Crypto, StableCoins, and basically anything you want. Infact Telegram usernames are smart contracts of value.
• Fees — every single line of code the smart contracts run are taxed by bits*seconds*fee. This enables protection against DOS attacks. Validators also place their own TON into the system and if they are not available to validate they are taxed a large amount of cash, this helps keep the network alive.
• Storage — to store any data, smart contracts themselves have to pay for it. Each and every contracts has it's own balance that it pays to be routed, executed and stored.
• Frozen Accounts — If unused for so long accounts get frozen and are hashed and sharded away. To reinstate you have to bring your own copy of the data. That is why if you have TON in your wallet and never transacted it costs so much fee.
