• Review policies, contracts, MOU or any other documents to ensure legal compliance with applicable national laws.
• Review HR Policy, provide input with compliance to the labor law and provide Legal endorsement of Hope for Justice’s Human Resource Policy documents
• Regularly advise Hope for Justice on the legal regime governing INGOs in Ethiopia
• Provide legal advice and professional solutions on matters including, but not limited to contracts, labor, employment, tax, insurance, local registration, criminal, business, intellectual property (copy right, design, trademark)
• Ensure that Hope for Justice fulfils all the required statutory and regulatory compliances
• Draw up the formalities for the amicable settlement of arbitration and disputes which may arise during contract implementation; analysing complex situations and disputes in contracts including dispute resolution
• Engage in preparing and translating legal documents
• Provide legal advice/support in other areas as requested by Hope for Justice
• Act as Hope for Justice’s legal representative in litigation, official transactions and other matters in which legal advice and other assistance is required Job Requirements Qualifications :
• Master’s degree in Law with at least ten years of practice experience, preference will be given to applicants with extensive experience and knowledge on the legal system governing INGOs in Ethiopia. Experience:
• Extensive experience in civil and labor bench
• Have a good knowledge of International and national child right conventions.

ድርጅታችን ቁም ለአካባቢ - Defend the Environment ሕግን ጨምሮ በተለያዩ የትምህርት ዘርፎች ከ2ኛ ዲግሪ እስከ ዶክትሬት ዲግሪ ደረጃ በተማሩና በየዘርፋቸዉ ከፍተኛ ዉጤት ባስመዘገቡ ግለሰቦች የተመሰረተ እና በመልካሙ ኦጎ የሕግ ቢሮ የገንዘብ ድጋፍ የሚደረግለት /fully funded by Melkamu Ogo Law Office/ ቦርድ መር ሀገር በቀል መንግስታዊ ያልሆነ የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ - ድርጅት /NGO/ ነዉ፡፡
ይህ ጥሪ የተደረገዉ የትምህርት ዝግጅታቸዉ የአካባቢ ሕግ - Environmental Lawyers ወይም ለአካባቢ ተቆርቋሪ በመሆን አካባቢ እንዲጠበቅና እንዳይበከል በተለያዩ መንገድ ለሰሩ - Environmentalists እና ድርጅታችንን በበጎ አድራጊ ባለሙያነት /Volunteer Professionals/ ለማገልገል ለሚፈቅዱ ሰዎች ከዘርፉ ጋር በተገናኘ በሚሰራ ድርጅታችን ምስረታ መርሃ ግብር ላይ በሚቀርቡ የጥናት ጽሁፎችና የዉይይት መድረክ ላይ መገኘት የሚያስችል እና የበጎ አድራጊነት ስራ ግንኙነት እንዲፈጠር ዕድል ለማመቻቸት በማሰብ ነዉ፡፡
ለዚህ ድርጅት መመስረት ምክንያት የሆኑት ጉዳዮች በርካቶች ቢሆኑም በዋናነት:-
አከባቢን /Environment/፣ ብዝሃ ህይወትን /Biodiversity/ እና ተፈጥሮ ሀብትን /Natural Resources/ መንከባከብን፣ ጥበቃ ማድረግን፣
የአከባቢ ብክለት /Pollution/ መቀነስ/ማጥፋትን፣
የታዳሽ ኃይል /Renewable Resources/ አገልግሎት ማስተዋወቅን፣
ለአየር ንብረት ለዉጥ /Climate Change/ ምክንያት የሚሆኑ ነገሮችን መቀነስ/ማቆምን እና
መሰረታዊ መብቶችና ነጻነቶች ጥበቃ - Protection of Fundamental rights and freedoms ስራዎችን
በተመለከተ ጥናት እና ምርምር ማድረግ፣ ለተለያዩ የማህበረሰብ ክፍሎች/ባለሙያዎች ለአቅም ግንባታ የሚሆን የስልጠና፣ ትምህርት እና የግንዛቤ ማስጨበጫ መድረኮችን ማዘጋጀት፣ ለአከባቢ ጥበቃ ምቹ የሆኑ የሕግ ማዕቀፎች እንዲዘጋጁና በስራ ላይ ያሉትም ለዚሁ ተግባር እንዲመቹ ተደርገዉ እንዲሻሻሉና የማያስፈልጉ ሕጎች እንዲሻሩ ምክረ ሃሳብ ማቅረብ እና አፈጻጸማቸዉን መከታተል /Legal Monitoring/፣
እንዲሁም በዋናነት አከባቢን በሚበክሉ፣ በተፈጥሮ ሃብት እና በብዝሃ ህይወት ላይ በማናቸዉም ሁኔታ ጉዳት በሚያደርሱ ሰዎች/ተቋማት ላይ ለሕዝብ ጥቅም ሲባል በሚቀርቡ የሙግት አቀራረብ/አመራር ስርዓት /Environmental Public Interest Litigation/ በመከተል ክሶችን በፍርድ ቤት እና በአስተዳራዊ አካላት ዘንድ በማቅረብ የህዝብን ከብክለት በጸዳ እና ንጹህ በሆነ አከባቢ በመኖር ጤንነቱን መጠበቅ የሚያስችለዉን ዕድል መፍጠር ነዉ፡፡
ከዚሁም ጋር በተገናኘ የድርጅቱ መስራችና የቦርድ ሰብሳቢ በሀገራችን በስፋት ባልተለመደዉ በዚህ አይነቱ የሙግት ስርዓት በመጠቀም አከባቢን ሲበክሉ በነበሩ ተቋማት ላይ ክሶችን/አቤቱታዎችን በፍርድ ቤት እና በሚመለከተዉ አስተዳደራዊ አካል ዘንድ በማቅረብ ለጉዳዩ የተለያየ ዉጤት ያስገኙና ሕዝብ ነገሩን እንዲገነዘብ እንዲሁም የመንግስት ትኩረት እንዲያገኝ አድርገዋል፡፡
በመሆኑም ይህ ድርጅት የተቋቋመበትን አላማ ለማሳካት ይረዳ ዘንድ ከተነሳንበት ጉዳይ ጋር በተገናኘ በዘርፉ ጥናት እና ምርምር ያደረጉ እዉቅ ምሁራን የጥናት ጽሁፍ በማቅረብ በዘርፉ ያለዉን ሁሉን አቀፍ ክፍተት እንዲያሳዩ፣ የድርጅቱን መቋቋም ለህዝቡ በማሳወቅ ከአከባቢ ብክለት ጋር በተያያዘ ጥፋት ፈጻሚዎችን በመጠቆም መረጃ እንዲሰጡን ለማስቻል፣ ከድርጅቱ ጋር ተመሳሳይ ዓላማ ካላቸዉ አካላት ጋር አብሮ ለመስራት ትዉዉቅ ለማድረግ እና ከተሳታፊዎች ጋር ገንቢ ዉይይቶችን በማድረግ ዉጤታማ ስራ ለመስራት የሚያስችል መድረክ በግንቦት 07 ቀን 2013 ዓ.ም ቦሌ ኤድናሞል ጀርባ በሚገኘዉ Best western international Plus Hotel ከጠዋቱ 2፡30 – 6፡30 ሰዓት በርካታ ከፍተኛ የመንግስት የስራ ሃላፊዎች፣ ድፕሎማቶች፣ ምሁራን፣ የሕግ ባለሙዎች እና ሌሎችም ተጋባጅ እንግዶች በሚገኙበት ለማሰናዳት ዝግጅት ተጠናቋል፡፡
በመሆኑም፡-
የትምህት ዝግጅታቸዉ ከአካባቢ ሕግ /Environmental Law/ ጋር በእጅጉ የተገናኘ ወይም
ከአካባቢ ጋር በተገናኘ በፍርድ ቤት እና/ወይም በአስተዳራዊ አካላት ላይ ከሶስት ባላነሱ ክሶች/አቤቱታዎች /Environmental litigation/ ላይ ተሳታፊ የነበሩ ወይም
የአካባቢ ተቆርቋሪ በመሆን በማናቸዉም መንገድ የሚታይ አበርክቶት ያላቸዉ /Environmentalists/ እና
ድርጅታችን ለህዝብ ጥቅም ሲባል በሚያቀርባቸዉ ክሶች/አቤቱታዎ ላይ በበጎ አድራጊ /volunteer/ ባለሙያነት ለማገልገል ፈቃደኛ የሆኑ 4/አራት ሰዎችን በዕለቱ መድረክ ላይ እንዲገኙ የሚያስችል ዕድል ተመቻችቷል፡፡
ስለሆነም ከላይ ከተራ ቁጥር 1-3 ከተጠቀሱት መስፈርቶች አንዱን እና 4ተኛዉን ማሟላት የምትችሉ ሰዎች የድርጅቱ መስራች እና የቦርድ ሰብሳቢ ለሆኑት አቶ መልካሙ ኦጎ (የሕግ አማካሪ እና ጠበቃ) ሥም እና አድራሻችሁን ከስር ከሚቀመጡ አድራሻዎች በአንዱ በቅድሚያ በመላክ የዕድሉ ተጠቃሚ ለመሆን ትችላላችሁ፡፡ ቀድሞ የደወለ/የጠየቀ ዕድሉን ቀድሞ የሚያገኝ መሆኑ ይታወቅ፡፡

ሕጻናትን እና ሴቶችን ጨምሮ ነጻ የህግ ምክር ድጋፍ ለሚያስፈልጋቸው የሕብረተሰብ ክፍሎች እስካሁን ድረስ በተለያዩ ተቋማት ሲሰጥ የቆየውን አገልግሎት ወጥነት ባለው መልኩ ተግባራዊ ማድረግ የሚያስችል ስትራቴጂ እየተዘጋጀ ነው፡፡

የፌደራል ጠቅላይ ፍርድ ቤት የሕጻናት ፍትሕ ፕሮጀክት ጽ/ቤት ጊዜያዊ አስተባባሪ ዳኛ ልዑለስላሴ ሊበን ይህን የገለጹት በረቂቅ ደረጃ ላይ በሚገኘው ነጻ የሕግ ድጋፍ አገልግሎት ስትራቴጂ ላይ በተለይ ከሴቶችና ሕጻናት አንጻር የተቀመጡ ድንጋጌዎችን ይዘት ለማዳበር እንዲረዳ ከሚያዚያ 29-30 ቀን 2013 ዓ.ም በጁፒተር ኢንተርናሽናል ሆቴል በተካሔደው የግብአት ማሰባሰቢያ የምክክር መድረክ መክፈቻ ላይ ባደረጉት ንግግር ነው፡፡

አገልግሎቱን ለመስጠት ፈቃድ ያላቸው አካላት በአሁኑ ጊዜ በመሰላቸው መንገድ ተፈጻሚ እያደረጉት እንደሚገኙ በመግለጽም ስትራቴጅው ፀድቆ ሥራ ላይ መዋሉ አገልግሎቱን ወጥነት ባለው መልኩ ተፈጻሚ ለማድረግ ያስችላል ብለዋል፡፡

በተለይ በሕጻናት ጉዳይ ሲሰጥ የነበረው የሕግ ድጋፍ አገልግሎት መንግሥታዊና መንግሥታዊ ካልሆኑ ድርጅቶች ጋር በመተባበር ለረጅም ጊዜ ሲሰራበት የቆየ መሆኑን በመጥቀስ፣ ነጻ የህግ ድጋፍ አገልግሎቱ በአገር አቀፍ ደረጃ ወጥነት ባለው መልኩ ተፈጻሚ ሊሆን የሚችልበት አሠራር መዘርጋቱ አስፈላጊ መሆኑንም ጠቁመዋል፡፡

የፌደራል ጠቅላይ ፍርድ ቤት የሕጻናት ፍትሕ ፕሮጀክት ጽ/ቤት ያዘጋጀውና ነጻ የህግ ምክር ድጋፍ ከሚሰጡና ጉዳዩ ከሚመለከታቸው ተቋማት የተውጣጡ ከ40 በላይ ተሳታፊዎች በተገኙበት በዚህ የውይይት መድረክ ላይ በነጻ የሕግ ድጋፍ ረቂቅ ስትራቴጂ፣ በሕግ ድጋፍ አገልግሎት ላይ በሚታዩ ክፍተቶች ላይ ማብራሪያ ቀርቧል፡፡ በወጣት ጥፋተኞች ዙሪያ የተደረገ የዳሰሳ ሪፖርት ቀርቦም ውይይት ተካሒዶበታል፡፡

በውይይቱ ላይ ከተሳታፊዎች የቀረቡና ረቂቅ ስትራቴጅውን ለማሻሻል ይረዳሉ የተባሉ ግብአቶች ተለይተው በጠቅላይ ዐቃቤ ሕግ ጽ/ቤት በኩል ለሚመለከተው አካል እንዲቀርቡም ስምምነት ላይ ተደርሷል፡፡

በምክክር መድረኩ ላይ ከፌደራል ጠቅላይ ፍ/ቤት የተከላካይ ጠበቃ ጽ/ቤት፣ ከተባበሩት መንግሥታት ሕጻናት አድን ድርጅት (UNICEF)፣ ከአፍሪካ ሕጻናት ፖሊሲ ፎረም (Africa Child Policy Forum)፣ ከአዲስ አበባ ዩኒቨርሲቲ፣ ከሴቶች ሕጻናትና ወጣቶች ሚኒስትር፣ ከአዲስ አበባ ሴቶች ሕጻናትና ወጣቶች ቢሮ እንዲሁም ነጻ የሕግ ድጋፍ ከሚሰጡ ጠበቆች የተውጣጡ ተሳታፊዎች ተገኝተዋል፡፡

ነጻ የሕግ ድጋፍ ረቂቅ ስትራቴጂው በፌደራል ጠቅላይ ዐቃቤ ሕግ ጽ/ቤት ተዘጋጅቶ በ2011 ዓ.ም ለሚኒስትሮች ም/ቤት የቀረበ መሆኑ የታወቀ ሲሆን ረቂቅ ስትራቴጂው በሚቀጥለው ዓመት መጀመሪያ ላይ ፀድቆ ተግባራዊ ይሆናል ተብሎ እንደሚጠበቅም ለመረዳት ተችሏል፡፡

research assistant terms of reference

1: Purpose
Support and facilitate data collection for a doctoral research to be done mainly in Addis Ababa.

2: Tasks to be carried out by the research assistant.

The research assistant will be assigned to carry out the following activities:
Contact selected governmental and nongovernmental offices and schedule meetings for interview
Search and obtain certain research materials/documents specified and recommended by the researcher Organize focus group discussion venues in line with the general guideline and specification of the researcher
Assist in audio_video recording at meetings.

3: Duration
The assignment will last for three months. It may, however, be extended for some additional time if necessary.

4: Service fee
The service fee amount to be paid to the research assistant and the method of calculation will be negotiable.

5: Condition of assignment
