During the meeting, Mr. #Zadig asked Ambassador #TamaraMona to explore programmatic cooperation regarding professional experts and infrastructure planning concerning #Davos in Switzerland and its sister city, Sululuta Davos in Ethiopia.
Ambassador Tamara Mona expressed gratitude for the presentation and the support for AFLEX projects and leadership development programs.

In a recent discussion, the #AFLEX and United Nations Women (#UNWOMEN) their intention to explore potential partnership areas to further the mutual goals of the #WomenLeadershipdevelopmentprogram.
During the discussion, Mr. #Zadig Abreha highlighted the importance of leadership academies partnering with International organizations like #UNWomen to address the persistent challenges faced by women and girls globally.
He emphasized the need for a Leadership Development Program(#LDP), research-driven solutions, innovative programs, and advocacy efforts to break down barriers to women's rights and opportunities.
The Deputy Representative of the United Nations Women (#UNWOMEN), @Schadrack Dusabehig his sentiments, on the organization's commitment to promoting gender equality and empowering women to reach their full potential.
Schadrack Dusabehig stated the organization's commitment to supporting #AFLEX in its efforts to achieve the #WomenLeadershipDevelopmentProgram through innovative partnerships and programs.
He expressed optimism about the potential for cooperation with the #AFLEX in areas such as training, capacity building, and knowledge sharing. The Deputy Representative added Knowledge exchange initiatives, such as lectures, conferences, and workshops, to promote dialogue and collaboration between researchers, policymakers, and practitioners.
Several potential partnership areas were discussed during the meeting. These are, Research initiatives focused on key issues affecting women, such as gender-based violence, access to education and healthcare, economic empowerment, and political participation.
Capacity-building programs to support women's leadership development, mentorship opportunities, and skills training to enhance their economic and social empowerment.

During the event, the President of AFLEX, #Zadig_Abrera, initiated the participants not to challenge women but rather to make the necessary sacrifices to invest in women and promote #gender_equality.

#AFLEX Seeks Collaborative Support to Enhance #Leadership_Development and #Fundraising_Strategy
#Zadig_Abreha, President of the African Leadership Excellence Academy, emphasized the urgent need for a #Leadership_Development_Program_strategy to effectively execute the AFLEX strategic plan.
#Zadig_Abreha, President of the African Leadership Excellence Academy, and @Charu_Bist, #UNDP_Deputy_Resident_Representative, discussed the development of a leadership development strategy document.
The President stated that AFLEX plans to develop a comprehensive Leadership Development Strategy document during the discussion. “This document will serve as a blueprint for nurturing and advancing leadership within our organization,” he stated. “To bring this vision to fruition, we seek funding from UNDP, which we believe shares our commitment to fostering leadership excellence.”

#AFLEX and #FDRE_Defense_War_College Explore Partnership for #Leadership_Development_Program

Delegates from FDRE Defense War College, led by #Brigadier_General_Bulti_Tadesse, met today with #AFLEX_President_Zadig_Abreha at AFLEX head office to discuss a potential partnership aimed at enhancing leadership development in both institutions.

The meeting focused on identifying areas of cooperation as both organizations strive to foster effective leadership within their respective fields.

Mr. #Zadig highlighted AFLEX’s unique position as a bridge between academic training and real-world challenges, emphasizing that the institution is neither solely an academy nor merely an agency, but a facilitator for leadership development through comprehensive education and exposition.

He also detailed ongoing efforts to #Africanize the academy, which involves enhancing human resources, infrastructure, and academic programs to better serve the continent's needs.

A Consultative Discussion Between #AFLEX and the #China_International_Development_Cooperation_Agency (CIDCA)

A consultative discussion between #AFLEX and the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) took place at the AFLEX Head office.

The discussion, aimed to #strengthen_collaboration and explore potential #partnerships between the two organizations.

The event commenced with a warm welcome extended to Mr. #Zhao_Fengtao, #Deputy_Chairman_of_CIDCA, Dr. #Yang_Yihang, #Minister_Counselor at the #Chinese_Embassy_in_Ethiopia, and their accompanying officials.

The welcoming ceremony, featuring traditional Ethiopian coffee, served to showcase the rich Ethiopian culture.

Mr. #Zadig_Abreha_President_of_AFLEX, briefed the guests on the Academy's activities, highlighting its #Africanization_project, its aspiration to be an instrument for African unity, and its impactful contributions to both Africa and Ethiopia.

This partnership aims to enhance leadership development and capacity building across Ethiopia and Africa.
The MoU is signed by Mr. #Zadig_Abreha, President of AFLEX and Professor #Danny_Quah, Dean of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. The collaboration marks a significant step towards fostering leadership excellence and policy research in the region.
Through the agreement, AFLEX and the Lee Kuan Yew School will collaborate to establish joint customized leadership development and capacity-building programs for executives and staff members across various sectors in Ethiopia and Africa.
Additionally, the partnership will facilitate the enrollment of African participants in Lee Kuan Yew’s postgraduate programs for executives, while promoting discussions and exchanges of expertise between the institutions on leadership development and policy research.
Professor Danny Quah expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, "This MoU represents a significant commitment to investing in Africa's leadership capacity. We are excited to work with AFLEX to develop tailored programs that address the unique challenges faced by African leaders today."
Zadig Abreha also commented on the agreement, saying, "This collaboration is a cornerstone in our mission to foster excellence in leadership across the African continent. We believe that by leveraging the expertise of NUS, we can empower a new generation of leaders capable of driving positive change in their communities."
As both institutions seek to enhance leadership capabilities, the signing of this MoU marks the beginning of a strategic partnership expected to yield significant impacts on leadership education and development in Africa.

In a dynamic Zoom Conference held on November 12, 2024, the President of the African Leadership Excellence Academy, #Zadig_Abreha, engaged with representatives from several leading U.S. universities to explore networking opportunities in advanced leadership training.

The agreement, formalized at the MoE office in Arat Kilo, was signed by the state minister for Higher Education, H.E. Mr. #Kora_Tushune, and W/ro #Meseret_Desta, Vice President of AFLEX, with the attendance of the Minister of Education, the President of AFLEX, and other senior officials from the institutions.

The signed document focuses on producing competent and ethical citizens while enhancing educational leadership nationwide.

#Professor_Birhanu_Nega, the Minister of Education, emphasized the importance of competency in public sector leadership. He stated, "To perform efficiently, leadership in the public sector should be based on competency, not only on representation. Our reform aims to achieve this in higher education, and today's MoU is a step towards achieving that."

AFLEX President, Mr. #Zadig_Abreha, highlighted the urgent need for effective leadership in the ongoing educational reforms. He said, "Our educational system has a problem that needs a solution. The Ministry of Education is undergoing significant reform, and to make this reform effective, competent leadership is necessary. So, we will do this together, as leadership development is what we do at AFLEX.” He also remarked that the signed MoU has come after months of discussions between us.
The memorandum highlights shared goals, including improving educational access, fostering leadership, and promoting technology and innovation within the academic sector.

Both parties are committed to building capacity and fostering strategic partnerships to drive significant progress in Ethiopia’s education landscape.
