Addis Ababa, February 27, 2025 (AFLEX) - The African Leadership Excellence Academy (AFLEX) has unveiled its action plan for two significant initiatives aimed at enhancing public sector leadership in Ethiopia: the Marquee Leadership Award 2025 and the National Leadership Development Forum.
Addis Ababa, February 27, 2025 (AFLEX) - The African Leadership Excellence Academy (AFLEX) has unveiled its action plan for two significant initiatives aimed at enhancing public sector leadership in Ethiopia: the Marquee Leadership Award 2025 and the National Leadership Development Forum.
These initiatives are a result of collaboration with key governmental bodies, including the Office of the Prime Minister, the Ethiopian Civil Service Commission, and the Planning and Development Commission.
The Marquee Leadership Award is designed to recognize exemplary leadership within the public sector, while the National Leadership Development Forum will address critical issues such as governance, innovation, technology, and youth empowerment, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability in leadership.
The structure of the Marquee Leadership Award was a focal point of discussion, targeting leaders from 24 federal ministries and over 120 affiliated institutions. Participants will go through a rigorous four-tier selection process evaluated by a jury, the public, stakeholders, and the media, ensuring transparency and fairness.
Mr. Tilahun Arega presented the award criteria, emphasizing attributes such as community impact, governance commitment, crisis management skills, collaboration, and leadership legacy. The National Leadership Development Forum will include workshops, research presentations, and panel discussions, with the award ceremony scheduled during the forum to honor outstanding leaders.
Participants engaged actively in the discussions, raising questions and sharing ideas. Mrs. Meseret Desta, Vice Chief of the Academy for Leadership Development, highlighted the benefits of the award for the public sector and government, noting the forum's potential to stimulate meaningful conversations on leadership and governance.

ሱሉልታ- የካቲት 21/2017 ዓ.ም (አፍሌክስ) - ውስብስብ የሆነው የተቋም ግንባታ በደንብ ካልተሰራ የውድቀት ምንጭ ነው ሲሉ የአፍሌክስ ፕሬዝደንት አቶ ዛዲግ አብርሃ በስልጠናው ላይ ተናግረዋል።
ፕሬዝደንቱ ለኢትዮጵያ ክፍያ መንገዶች ኢንተርፕራይዝ አመራሮች የተቋም ግንባታን የተመለከተ ሰፊ ስልጠና ሰጥተዋል።
“ስለተቋም ግንባታ ስናስብ በቅድሚያ እንደማህበረሰብ ትክክለኛውን ጥያቄ ልንጠይቅ ይገባል፣ ትክክለኛውን ጥያቄ ለመጠየቅ ደግሞ በጥልቀት ማሰላሰል አለብን።” ብለው በጥልቀት የማሰላልሰልን ዘርፈብዙ ትሩፋቶች አንስተዋል።
“ትክክለኛውን ጥያቄ መጠየቅ መጪውን ጊዜ በደንብ እንድናይ ያስችለናል ይሄም ለተቋም ግንባታ መሰረት ነው።” ያሉት አቶ ዛዲግ ትክለኛውን ጥያቄ ጠይቀው መጻዒውን ጊዜ መመልከት በመቻላቸው ስኬትን የተጎናጸፉ ታላላቅ ግለሰቦች እና ድርጅቶችን፣ በአንጻሩ ደግሞ ያንን ማድረግ ባለመቻላቸው ለውድቀት የተዳረጉ ተቋማትን በምሳሌነት አንስተዋል።
“ሃገራት ሲበለጽጉ እኛ እንዴት ወደኋላ ቀረን? የሚለው ጥያቄ የዚህ ትውልድ ትልቁ ጥያቄ ነው!” ሲሉ ተናግረዋል።

“አንድ መሪ ተቋም ለመገንባት ዘመዱን፤ ሀይማኖቱን፤ ጾታውን፤ ዘሩን፤ ቀለሙን፤ እና ብሔሩን መርሳት ብቻ ሳይሆን መካድ አለበት። እነዚህን በጉያው የያዘ መሪ ተቋም መገንባት አይችልም “ አቶ ዛዲግ አብርሃ የአፍሌክስ ፕሬዝደንት

ጠንካራ እና ተሻጋሪ ተቋማትን የገነቡ ሀገራት ስልጣኔያቸውን አስጠብቀው መዝለቃቸውን የሚጠቅሱት አቶ ዛዲግ፤ ተቋማት የስልጣኔ የማዕዘን ድንጋይ እንደሆኑና ይህ አዕማድ በአግባቡ ከተቀመጠ ትናንትን እንደሚዘክር፤ ዛሬን እንደሚሰራ እና ነገን እንደሚተልም ይህም ከትውልድ ትውልድ እየተሻገረ
የሀገረ-መንግስት መሰረት እንደሚሆን ተናግረዋል። አያይዘውም፤ የአንድ ሀገር የዕድገትት እና የብልጽግና መለኪያ ኒኩለር የማመንጨት እና የማስወንጨፍ፤ በማዕድን ሀብት መበልጸግ እና በነብስ ወከፍ ገቢ ከፍተኛ መሆን ሳይሆን የተቋም ግንባታ ላይ የተመሰረተ እንደሆነም ጠቅሰዋል።
