ADDIS ABABA, March 18, 2024: AFLEX and UNESCO held a collaboration meeting at the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Niger Hall.
During the meeting, Mesfin Behailu, the project manager of the Women Leadership Development Program at AFLEX, presented about AFLEX.
He described AFLEX as a place where academic rigor meets worldliness, unlocking the best in Ethiopia and Africa.
He also highlighted the African Davos project and strategic aspirations, emphasizing the nurturing and staging of African leadership.

Tilahun Arega, the acting vice chief of the program, presented possible areas of partnership during his session.
Abdulahi Salifu, the UNESCO representative, congratulated the initiatives and emphasized the need to focus on areas of collaboration.
Lydia Gachungi, the UNESCO Regional Adviser for the Safety of Journalists, appreciated the presentation of AFLEX and highlighted numerous potential areas of collaboration.
Throughout the meeting, the UNESCO group actively engaged with the AFLEX team, raising pertinent questions, and providing valuable comments.
The AFLEX team responded with clarity and provided the necessary clarifications, resulting in a fruitful exchange of ideas and perspectives.
