#PSA 📢 Exciting news for westies!

With the completion of the Choa Chu Kang-Yew Tee cycling path network, commuting by bicycle is now easier and more convenient!🎉

Spanning around 11km, these cycling paths complement existing park connectors, providing better accessibility and connectivity to various amenities and parks across the two towns. 🏫🌳

We have also added over 300 bicycle parking lots at Choa Chu Kang MRT and various LRT stations in the neighbourhood and widened crossings to improve your safety and cycling experience! 🚲🚶‍♂️

We’ve appointed Henning Larsen and partners as the masterplan consultant for the North-South Corridor’s (NSC) surface streets. 🚶‍♂️🚴‍♀️🚍

They will develop a Master Plan to transform surface streets along the corridor, such as Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6 and Ophir Road, when the #NSC tunnel and viaduct are completed. Repurposing some of these road spaces would allow us to enhance connectivity for walking, cycling and, public transport while creating more green and community spaces in these areas.

Henning Larsen and partners will work with LTA and relevant agencies to gather feedback from the community and other stakeholders through public engagement sessions.🗣️

Members of the public who are keen to participate in the NSC Master Plan workshops and events can indicate their interest here https://go.gov.sg/nsc-survey-2024 🙏🏽

With ERP 2.0, we will be able to reduce backend processing costs as the On-Board Unit (OBU) can detect, and process missed ERP payments.

From Oct 1, 2024, a five-day grace period for missed ERP charges will be introduced. Motorists will be notified via SMS, payment made during this period will only include the outstanding ERP charge without the $10 admin charge.

Earlier this week, during a three-day enforcement operation at Changi Airport, we caught 14 drivers and impounded their foreign-registered vehicles for providing illegal services 🚔🚫 between Singapore and Malaysia and within Singapore.

We take these offences very seriously and will not condone drivers providing such illegal services. Do not use these services; they not only break the law, but also put your safety at risk. The vehicles involved may lack adequate insurance coverage, putting you at serious risk, should an accident occur. ⚠️🚗

Drivers caught providing illegal hire-and-reward services, including cross-border trips without a valid Public Service Vehicle Licence (PSVL), can be fined up to $3,000, imprisoned for up to six months, or both. Vehicles involved may also be forfeited.

Stay safe and stay legal.

#PSA Traveling through the Novena area? Take note that the current cross junction between Thomson, Moulmein and Newton roads will be split into two T-junctions from Sunday, 8 Sep. This configuration will remain until NSC construction is completed.

🚧 This reconfiguration is necessary to facilitate the next phase of works for the North-South Corridor (#NSC). Given Novena’s dense development, several stages of traffic diversions are needed to construct the NSC tunnel under Thomson Road.

Watch this video to familiarise yourself with the road changes, and plan ahead for your journeys. There will be signage on the ground to help you navigate the roads and pedestrian paths.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. 🙏🏽
#PSA From 9 Sep 2024, we will be adjusting #ERP rates at the following gantries and time periods to manage congestion. 🗓️🚗

The rates for other gantries remain unchanged.
