Samavat anti-aircraft artillery systems, upgraded ZU-23-2/4 and other systems of the Iranian Air Defense Forces are currently operating over Tehran, Tabriz, Isfahan and Ahvaz, intercepting medium-altitude optical-electronic reconnaissance and Kamikaze UAVs of the Israeli Air Force.

Anonymous Israeli officials and IDF sources say that Hel Haavir is embarking on a phase of complete liquidation of Iran's fuel and energy complex, with the ultimate goal of shutting down the military-industrial complex and starting unrest with the goal of "overthrowing the regime."

The IRGC press service says it is preparing a much more powerful and destructive retaliatory missile strike on Israel. It is likely that the IRGC will soon be able to rely on the beginning of active military-technical support from, Pakistan and the DPRK which in turn could be used as a proxy by Russia to also provide help.

The most important feature of today's nighttime massive missile strike by the IRGC on targets in Israel was the recorded multiple increase in the power of the warheads.

According to Israeli media and to the videos of the arrivals:
"Some of the missiles fired from Iran last night were equipped with warheads weighing one and a half tons."

This indicates a shift in the priority of the IRGC command to the heavier Emad and Quadr IRBMs, the weight of the high-explosive fragmentation warheads of which reaches 800-1000 kg with an approach speed of warheads of 1700-2000 m/s. (missiles in the infographic above).

The Weizmann Institute in Rehovot was also hit.

It is also reported that the IRGC has begun using a new medium-range ballistic missile, the Hajj Qassem (named after the assassinated Qasem Soleimani), whose parameters are practically no different from the standard Fattah IRBM.

📍 The further Iran's remaining missile bases are from Israel, the fewer viable options they have for striking Israeli targets.

While the reduction in missile attacks is expected, there’s a deeper strategic layer that deserves attention:

🔍 Israel’s current focus: Striking the “bottlenecks” of Iran’s missile program.

— 1. Blocking access to underground missile storage
By collapsing entry points to these hardened facilities, Iran is effectively cut off from its stockpiles. Quantity becomes irrelevant if you can’t launch.
👉 If a ceasefire is declared prematurely, hundreds of these missiles could suddenly become usable. That’s why a pause in hostilities is not ideal.

— 2. Targeting mobile launchers
Iran has a limited number of mobile launch systems. Once destroyed, they’re extremely difficult—if not impossible in wartime—to replace.
Despite progress, Israel’s Air Force currently controls only about one-third of Iranian airspace. But even that is enough to seriously cripple Iran’s strike capability.

📊 Map illustrating distances from Israel to Iran and highlighting the IRGC’s major missile bases:

🔴 Red dots: IRGC missile bases
🔵 Blue circle: Bases already damaged or sealed off by Israeli airstrikes (confirmed via geolocation and satellite images)
🟡 Yellow circle: Bases currently under fire control by the IAF

🎯 The strategy doesn’t just reduce the number of available missiles—it narrows the types Iran can use.

For example, two missile bases near Isfahan (marked in yellow) lie roughly 1,600 km from Israel. That means only long-range missiles (1,600+ km) can reach targets—missiles Iran has fewer of, and which are much more expensive to produce.

🧪 Most of these long-range types also use liquid fuel, making them more vulnerable and slower to launch.
📷 On the last slide: a breakdown of missiles that can no longer be launched effectively due to range constraints (marked in Yellow 🟡).

When Iran launches missiles at Israel, the first line of defense is activated by U.S. Navy warships in the Persian Gulf, which attempt to intercept the incoming projectiles early in flight. Any missiles that get through enter the range of U.S. air defense systems stationed at bases in Iraq.

Next, the threat passes into the coverage zone of Jordanian air defenses and U.S. F-35 jets based there. Simultaneously, American warships in the Red Sea engage targets that survive earlier layers of interception.

Those Iranian missiles that manage to break through all of the above then face British airbases and U.S. naval assets in the Mediterranean Sea.

Finally, whatever is still airborne enters the reach of Israel’s multi-layered air defense system—from Iron Dome and David’s Sling to systems with ranges of up to 2,000 km.

And yet, despite this vast defensive network backed by Western and NATO military power, some missiles still make it through. Tel Aviv and Haifa are proof of that. Their experience serves as a stark reminder: even the most advanced defenses are not impenetrable.
