Minimum Master’s Degree in Public Health or a relevant field from recognized college or university with relevant experience, out of which 2 years of senior project leadership of USAID or US government funded projects & project management experience providing technical leadership to major donor funded public health projects, preferably with activities or components relating to community engagement, capacity strengthening, and / or social and behavior change
Competence:-
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively work with USAID and international donors, government counterparts, and project stakeholders
- Excellent team building and supervisory skills
- Demonstrated sufficient diplomatic, management and interpersonal communication skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English required; proficiency in local language preferred

Postgraduate qualification in Public health, Epidemiology, International health, Information systems, or related discipline with experience implementing public health programs, with at least four years of experience in malaria control in Ethiopia or other parts of sub-Saharan Africa & experience and understanding of the Ethiopian health systems context
Competence:-
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in surveillance systems for disease control and elimination
- Professional level of oral and written fluency in English language
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with government representatives, local community organizations, donors and other stakeholders, particularly at the sub-national level
- Excellent written and oral communications skills in English required
- Available to travel within the country as needed
