Meet and Greet Our Core Team Member: Highlighting Doi Amdissa

Today, we are excited to introduce Doi Amdissa, the final core team member in our series. Doi was an extended member of the content team, where she worked as a graphics designer, contributing her creative expertise to help the content team create stunning visuals. Her designs have played an important role in elevating the quality and appeal of GDSC AASTU’s content.

Beyond her work with GDSC AASTU , Doi brings a wealth of experience from other roles, including her current positions as a Content Creator and UI/UX Trainee at A2SV | Africa to Silicon Valley, where she hones her design skills using tools like Figma. She is also a Competitive Programming Trainee, working to master Python, data structures, and algorithms. In addition, Doi has mentored others as a Content Creator Mentor at SheCodes AASTU, and her dedication to creating and teaching has been invaluable to our community.

Reflecting on her experience with GDSC AASTU, Doi shared:

"✨My involvement with Google Developer Student Clubs (GDSC) began at the university's welcome ceremony.🤗 Hearing about the organization sparked my interest, particularly as a graphic designer seeking a creative🎨 outlet within the tech sphere."

"✨Joining GDSC wasn't just about membership; it became a platform to utilize my design expertise. I found myself creating several compelling posters for various campus tech👩‍💻 events."

"✨Furthermore, my involvement extended to participating in GDSC study groups📚. Through these sessions, I gained valuable knowledge and insights. Looking ahead, I am enthusiastic about more within GDSC and contributing further to the organization's success."
