As our Lead Event Organizer, Medina has played a pivotal role in ensuring that every event is meticulously planned and executed with precision. Her keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to deliver high-quality results on time have made her an invaluable asset to our team.

Medina's dedication to her work is evident in the smooth execution of our events, including the much-acclaimed AASTU Tech Fest. Her meticulous planning and organizational skills ensured that everything was in perfect order, making the event a resounding success. Beyond her organizational prowess, Medina's extensive network of connections allowed us to source high-quality products at low costs, further contributing to the success of our events.

In addition to her exceptional event organizing talents, Medina has accumulated a wealth of experience across various roles. Medina contributed as a part-time Mobile Application Developer at Kuraztech and gained hands-on experience in Flutter development during her internship at Kuraztech. Furthermore, she underwent intensive training in secure web and mobile application development as a Summer Camp Trainee at the Information Network Security Agency and mentored students in Python and website development during a summer camp at Yenetta Code

Introducing Merbebt Solomon - GDSC AASTU 2023/24 Event Organizer

Merbebt Solomon has been an integral part of our event organizing team at GDSC AASTU . As an event organizer, she played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of each event by meticulously planning and making sure everything went according to plan. During the AASTU Tech Fest, Merbebet was instrumental in leading and instructing volunteers, ensuring that the event ran smoothly from start to finish. Her dedication to managing unexpected challenges and her warm welcome to partners and companies significantly contributed to the event’s overall success.

Merbebet has gained valuable experience in various professional roles as well. As a Frontend Developer Intern at Helder Technologies, she focused on graphic design, WordPress, and frontend development in a hybrid setting. She also participated in a month-long, on-site training program as a Summer Camp Trainee at Information Network Security Agency, and served as a Coding Instructor at Yenetta Code, where she mentored students in Scratch programming and coding during a summer internship.

Merbebet also has a strong background in volunteering. She served as a Youth Ambassador at Media Smart Youth Ethiopia, advocating for youth engagement and media literacy. Additionally, she contributed to social services and community development as a Volunteer at Rotaract Club of Finot.

Reflecting on her time as an event organizer, Merbebt shared:

Eyob Tesfaye has been an integral part of the GDSC AASTU event organizing team, contributing significantly to the success of AASTU Tech Fest 2024. His dedication and meticulous attention to detail ensured that every system was set up flawlessly and everything ran smoothly, on time, and with the highest quality. His commitment to excellence and ability to manage complex event logistics have made a lasting impact on the success of our events.

Beyond his role at GDSC AASTU, Eyob is currently working as a Mobile Developer Intern at Eskalate, where he is currently contributing to innovative projects and developing hands-on skills. He is also a Trainee at A2SV | Africa to Silicon Valley, where he focuses on honing his software engineering abilities in a competitive environment and as a Private Tutor at Haleta Technologies, he provided personalized tutoring services to help students achieve their academic goals.
