๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡น Human Rights Watch accused Saudi guards of killing hundreds of Ethiopians

Human Rights Watch has accused Saudi Arabian border guards of systematically killing hundreds of Ethiopian economic migrants trying to cross from Yemen.

They say at least 655 people have been killed by guards since early last year. Some were shot, others killed or maimed by explosive weapons.

The organisation accused Saudi Arabia, after the UN made similar allegations last year.

Human Rights Watch has called the killings widespread and systematic, and says they could amount to crimes against humanity.

In March, the Saudi government categorically rejected any suggestion that its forces were involved in cross-border killings.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ According to Kirill Dmitriev, the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund who is part of the delegation visiting Saudi Arabia, progress in negotiations between Russia and the US is possible in the next two to three months.

On the one hand, this once again confirms our previous statements that no breakthrough decisions are expected from the current meetings - this is just the first round of what may become serious negotiations.

At the same time, Dmitriev's words indirectly indicate that the Russian side does not have overly high expectations and is not counting on manna from heaven, allotting a few months for the first results.

The latter is a kind of response to those who, after the telephone conversation between Putin and Trump, for some inexplicable reason believed that the issue of the so-called Ukraine was resolved. As if the hostilities had already ended and there were no heavy battles on the ground.

๐Ÿ“Negotiation Background๐Ÿ“
Another attack by the AFU on Russian energy facilities

Yesterday in Riyadh, negotiations were held between delegations from Russia and the USA, during which the requirements for achieving a ceasefire were discussed. During the 12-hour conversation, the Russian leadership expressed the hope that Washington would be able to force the authorities of the so-called Ukraine to fulfill the agreements reached.

๐Ÿ–Against the backdrop (and during) the meeting in Saudi Arabia, the enemy again attacked the energy infrastructure of Russia. The targets of the AFU raid were the Svatove gas distribution station in the LPR, the energy infrastructure of the Rostov Region, and, for the third time in recent days, the Glebovskoe gas storage facility.

๐ŸšฉCasualties and destruction were avoided, according to official data, the enemy did not cause serious damage to strategic facilities. However, as we have said before, it is not worth relaxing from thoughts of an imminent peace - the attack that has taken place will certainly not be the last.

โ—๏ธIn the context of the night attack by the AFU, the statements of the Minister of Defense of the so-called Ukraine, Umierov, after a meeting with the US delegation, where he confirms commitment to "achieving a lasting peace", inspire little confidence.
