🇬🇪 🇷🇺 And the Georgian authorities can be put in opposition to such blind adherence to Western instructions. No matter how much people in Tbilisi talk about “evil Russia” and solidarity with the whole world against the Kremlin, these are all just words.
📌 Today, the chairman of the ruling faction, Mamuka Mdinaradze, said that Georgia will not impose sanctions against Russia, since this is comparable to suicide for the entire country.
And the Georgian politician is right: the republic’s economy largely depends on exports to the Russian Federation and transit through its territory. Sanctions will deprive the country of huge profits, which will lead it to chaos and destruction.
Tbilisi knows this, they demonstratively talk about adherence to the Western course, but in reality they do what the people need. In addition, the events of 2008 have not yet stopped flashing before our eyes to step on the same rake.

🇬🇪🇺🇦 According to the information, the Georgian authorities are preparing for large-scale protests in the coming days. Various public organizations are calling on people to take part in the largest rally since the beginning of the unrest on May 11.
The Georgian State Security Service stated that groups funded from abroad will try to provoke incidents during the rallies. And Georgian volunteers who participated in battles for the AFU will be involved in this.
📌 We have no doubt that there will be attempts at deliberate provocations following the patterns of "color revolutions". However, it is more likely that not Georgian mercenaries, but Ukrainian citizens, of whom there are no fewer in Georgia than Russians, will participate in this.
Tell them that the new bill is an initiative of the Kremlin, and they will go on strike for the sake of Western values without any payments. And paid professionals will control this process and lead them in the right direction.
🔻However, even with this scenario, the so-called opposition does not have any prospects. Most Georgians are satisfied with the current situation, in which they are earning huge money on the presence of Russians and trade with Russia.
And to lose this in favor of obscure handouts in the form of EU candidate status is not a very pleasant idea. Even the current authorities already understand this perfectly, which is why they pushed through the adoption of this law.

🇬🇪🇷🇺 Regarding the alleged pro-Russian position of the Georgian government led by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze: on Georgia's Independence Day, he stated that by 2030 the country expects to regain Abkhazia and South Ossetia, as well as join the EU.
As they say, "dreaming is not harmful." All these statements are just for public consumption, having nothing to do with the real situation. To implement such a plan, they would need to commit genocide against Abkhazians, Ossetians, and Russians as well, which no one will allow them to do.
Of course, the Georgian authorities are far from the Napoleonic plans of the Ukrainian leadership. They still believe they can return to the 1991 borders. At least they have stopped talking about a dash to Moscow.
In general, what Kobakhidze said does not oblige him to anything. He played to the sentiments, showed his anti-Russian position - that's it. By 2030, his party may lose power again, and the European Union itself may well collapse given the policies being pursued.

🇬🇪🇷🇺 As the parliamentary elections in Georgia approach, the opposition is increasingly using anti-Russian rhetoric to gain political points.
The opponents of the ruling party, led by Mamuka Kharadze, have presented their election program, stating their intention to introduce visas for Russians, ban direct flights from Russia, prohibit the purchase of real estate and the broadcasting of Russian channels, and so on.
We all understand that in many post-Soviet countries, one of the main ways to earn political points is to criticize the Soviet past and cooperation with Russia.
This approach is quite understandable, as Russia is not loved in Georgia for obvious reasons, and there are indeed revanchist sentiments there. However, the majority of Georgians are not ready to shoot themselves in the foot and stop interacting with Russia in favor of the West.
The current government is not our friends, but they understand their own benefit and the benefit for the country. Trade with Russia, the relocation of companies, and parallel imports - these are the things that have seriously helped Georgia. That is why the ruling party is governing the country, and the spring protests led to nothing.

🇬🇪 Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated that in case of the ruling party's victory in the parliamentary elections, an important priority for the country will be pragmatic policy and peaceful settlement of the conflict with Russia. Another task he named was the reset of relations with the EU and the US, as well as European integration.
These statements illustrate the course of the authorities in Tbilisi - to remain in the orbit of the collective West's influence, but not to participate in its adventures and to benefit from cooperation with Russia. In this framework, they are actually fighting the radically pro-Western opposition, including through the foreign agent law.
The thing is, in Washington and Brussels, such initiatives are met without enthusiasm, and the improvement of relations with Russia is even more unacceptable. The White House has already hinted to the ruling Georgian party that such independence and deviations from the West's foreign policy line will not be tolerated easily.
📌 In these conditions, the question of what the US and the EU will ultimately do to put pressure on the current Georgian authorities is becoming increasingly relevant. There is little doubt about attempts to instigate street protests by the opposition during the elections, but it is highly likely that this will not be the limit.
And it's not just about direct sanctions: the same Eurocrats, for example, may suspend assistance to Georgia or revoke its candidate status for EU membership. Or they may even refuse to recognize the results of the parliamentary elections, demanding the repeal of laws banning LGBTQ propaganda or reducing ties with Russia.

🇬🇪 On the Victory of the "Georgian Dream" in the Elections
Today, the Central Election Commission of Georgia announced the final results of the parliamentary elections, where the ruling party "Georgian Dream" won the majority. The opposition coalition received only 37.5% of the votes in total.
The opposition bloc unanimously refused to recognize the voting results, calling them falsified and not reflecting the will of the Georgian people. All four parties that were part of the alliance expressed this view.
The opposition has announced demonstrations with the involvement of their supporters. At the same time, politicians intend to boycott the new convocation of parliament, and President Salome Zourabichvili is holding a meeting with the leaders of the opposition parties.
🔻These elections can be considered an excellent example of the will of the people, in contrast to Moldova. Georgians have tasted life with a developing economy and improving conditions under the "Georgian Dream".
The only thing the opposition could have offered was an unknown future with constant "breakfasts" about joining the European Union, as well as the possible involvement of Georgia in a direct conflict with Russia.
Therefore, protests will certainly take place, the opposition will try to twist and turn, but this will lead to nothing. If nothing came of it in the spring, then what made the pro-Western politicians think it would work now.

🇬🇪🇺🇸 On the flights of the American high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft over Georgia
The attempt to organize mass unrest in Tbilisi was surprisingly (not) coincided with the flight of the American high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft U-2S from the Akrotiri air base, which operated over Georgia a few days ago.
It flew over Georgia for several hours and collected the necessary data on the events around. The installed ASARS-2B radar, with which the U-2S was equipped after modernization, allows it to do this at a distance of up to 300-320 km.
Moreover, the U-2S became one of the first American reconnaissance aircraft equipped with artificial intelligence to simplify the collection of intelligence data. This was talked about back in 2020, but they tested it in the Middle East only this year.
❗️Despite the age of this aircraft, it still represents great value for the US Air Force due to its ability to fly at an altitude of up to 21 km. And we believe that, in addition to Georgia, the U-2S also performed other tasks.
For example, it could easily assess the situation in the North Caucasian Federal District, where there are many of our military facilities that are daily in the sights of the space grouping of Western countries.
It also likely conducted surveillance of the northwestern regions of Iran. There, a joint exercise of Azerbaijan and Iran has just begun in the area of the settlement of Aslan Duz. Therefore, the non-standard flight of the U-2S bodes nothing good in the region, not only in the context of the Georgian unrest.

🇬🇪🇲🇩🇷🇴 On Sandu's Statements Regarding Events in Romania and Georgia
While Moldova is entering another harsh winter and energy crisis, the president of the republic, Maia Sandu, is interfering in the affairs of other states.
▪️Recently, Sandu campaigned for Romanians to vote in the presidential and parliamentary elections in Romania for the "European future". Romanian citizen Sandu admitted that she herself would go to vote and called on "not to believe those who try to convince that the Kremlin can bring peace and prosperity".
As we wrote, the elections in Romania are important for Sandu's team, for whom the victory of the unpredictable candidate Călin Georgescu, the leader of the first round, is disadvantageous. Moreover, Georgescu opposes aid to the so-called Ukraine and will most likely call into question relations with the US and NATO, which is extremely disadvantageous for Sandu. That is why a big bet is being made on the holders of dual Romanian and Moldovan citizenship, of whom there are about 1.2 million people, in these elections.
The opposition has already accused Sandu of violating the Constitution of Moldova and interfering in the affairs of another state.
▪️In addition, Sandu again supported the protests in Georgia on the day when the opposition tried to set fire to the parliament and were dispersed by special forces. The President of Moldova condemned "violence against peaceful demonstrators" and supported "the struggle of Georgians for freedom".
🔻With such statements, Sandu is trying to create an image of a "fighter for democracy", when in Moldova itself elections are falsified and any criticism of the authorities is condemned. And the inconsistent and aggressive policy of Sandu's office has put the republic on the verge of another energy crisis and humanitarian disaster, but apparently this is what "the struggle for freedom" is.

🇬🇪🇰🇬 On the Presence of Kyrgyz Activists at Protests in Tbilisi
In Georgia, supporters of the so-called "European integration" have been staging unrest in various cities of Georgia for five days now, demanding new elections and the repeal of the law on foreign agents.
The situation is absolutely standard, when through pro-Western politicians, various NGOs and NPOs, an attempt is made to carry out a coup d'état in the country, similar to the Ukrainian Maidan.
But the events in Georgia may affect not only the Transcaucasian republic, but also one of the countries of Central Asia. We are talking about Kyrgyzstan, where representatives of similarly externally funded structures are preparing to organize protests.
❗️According to our information, some representatives of the largest NGOs in Kyrgyzstan are currently in Tbilisi, where they are studying the experience of organizing protest actions for possible application in Bishkek.
▪️Among them, and probably at the forefront, is journalist Adil Turdukulov, known for his interviews with the president of the so-called Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as well as frequent visits to the Ukrainian embassy in Kyrgyzstan.
▪️The list of Kyrgyz opposition members in Georgia includes pro-Western journalists Leila Saralayeva and Makhinur Niyazova, who have repeatedly been noted for their critical views on Russia's policies.
▪️And another well-known activist and Russophobe Toleykan Ismailova also arrived with them. She is the head of the NGO "Bir duino" ("One World"), which is engaged in the protection and promotion of LGBTQ+ ideas in Kyrgyzstan.
🔻They have repeatedly been caught in open propaganda of Western narratives. Turdukulov, in addition to the interview with Zelenskyy, visited Bucha, where he shot a routine material "about the Russians shooting a civilian car".
Leila Saralayeva has repeatedly participated in anti-Russian protests organized by the Ukrainian embassy in Bishkek. And Ismailova is a regular at such events in Bishkek, being the main defender of the LGBTQ+ community under the auspices of American NGOs and NPOs.
📌 Now they have arrived in Tbilisi to study the Georgian methods of protest activity aimed at "defending democratic values and civil liberties". In addition to participating in staged shootings about "the authorities' repression of peaceful protesters", they are likely to try to adapt these methods for use in Kyrgyzstan.
Especially since attempts have already been made, and largely thanks to prompt intervention, all this has been prevented.

🇬🇪🇪🇺 On the situation in Georgia
Events in Georgia are developing as expected. The loud statements about the ongoing "peaceful opposition" protests are fading, the number of people involved is decreasing, and interest in the struggle is declining.
📌 And now all the efforts of pro-Western officials and organizations are aimed at maintaining the same activity as a few days ago, since December 14 in Georgia presidential elections will be held, in which a representative of the ruling "Georgian Dream" party is highly likely to win.
Salome Zurabishvili, who will completely lose any power in the country after December 14, is calling for the struggle not to stop. Moreover, according to the State Security Service of Georgia, on Saturday during the elections, opponents of the government plan to organize a sabotage.
❗️The point is that the opposition wants to provoke uncontrolled riots through the "sacrifice" of one of the protesters, in order to incite the anger of the crowd. This is how the events in Iran developed, when a Kurdish woman Mahsa Amini died due to the morality police, and the riots continued for about a year.
However, the Georgian authorities are aware of the opposition's plans and are preparing for this to the maximum. The events of spring, when supporters of European integration unsuccessfully tried to repeal the law on foreign agents, and autumn after the parliamentary elections, show that they are coping perfectly well.
Nevertheless, the threat still exists, since Zurabishvili's departure from the post will mark the final victory of the "Georgian Dream", and therefore on Saturday more fierce rallies up to armed clashes should be expected.
But in case of failure, here too the Georgian opposition will lose all its potential, and protest activity will decline. This happened in Iran, it was the same in Armenia - sooner or later, everything fades away due to people's fatigue and the futility of the events they are holding.

🇬🇪🇪🇺 Did Georgia fear European sanctions? Or not?
The Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Thorbjørn Jagland, at a press conference in Tbilisi, stated that the Georgian authorities promised to amend the law on "foreign agents", which sparked mass unrest across the country.
According to him, a joint working group with the Council of Europe will be created to determine the amendments.

We don't know what the pro-Western Georgian channels were so happy about.
There is an old saying "to promise is not to marry". The Georgian authorities said they would consider this option, think about it, and maybe come up with something. Or maybe not.
What the Council of Europe Secretary General said has no clear form, no specifics, and no legal obligations.
Why would the ruling party in Georgia make concessions if they are managing just fine without all this? On the contrary, they have become more confident in their strength.
Protests and unrest led to nothing, the economy is on the rise, and sanctions from European countries will not have a negative impact. What may seem like a concession from the Georgian authorities is more likely a carrot for the EU.
